Ski trip (New Hampshire,Vermont, Maine)

My Friends, my family and I are thinking of going on a ski trip next to New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine. We where wondering where would be the best place for park (preferably big jumps) but also good for normal downhill skiing for the family.

We are probably not going to go to Vermont so please help for New Hampshire and Maine. Thanks +++k

sunday river for maine, cannon in NH for good skiing, loon in NH for good park. they are 15 mins from each other

Sunday rover is my home mountain and I think its great.  It has 8 peaks and huge.  3/4 of the season though there is a good amount of ice on the groomers.  Unless you go on them right after they are groomed or if you go with a day of it snowing

How big are the jumps at LOON and at Sunday River? We are looking for big ones cause the ones we have at are mountain are quite small.

loon's got some real nice sized ones and so does sunday river. both ahve real sick parks, but sunday river is also really good for just all mountain skiing as well

i'd recommend Loon for the park and getting up to Cannon which is pretty close by for some real skiing. if you're really lucky and can get to Cannon on a powder day it's comparable to anything in the east

stratton is sick, dont be deceived by its single peak, its pretty big and its literally the home of snowboarding so they'tr parks are sweeeet cause they a ton of money from burton, whom lived in the town next to stratton.
okemo has a pretty good park and when you wanna get some nice runs in they have a real nice trails, good snow, hardly ever icey, they're sponsored by SOBE so they have some legit parks and because its more of a family place they're always empty. i ski okemo most of the year and its def my favorite place in VT
killington is nice but there is waaay too many people, it ruins the fun
sunday river is where i learned to skis and its got sick terrain and nice parks, its where simon dumont set the quarterpipe record and its his home mountain, so if youre lucky maybe u can ski with dumont

ill be at okemo from 12/29 to 1/3 so if u go there hit me up and we'll shred some lines

We are probably not going to go to sugarloaf because we have been there like 5 times. Sunday River and Loon seem to be the most popular, how close are they together. Maybe we could ski both. Thanks for all the help.

They're about 2 hours apart with winter driving conditions, if you want to go to 2 resorts maybe Loon and Waterville? They're only 30 min apart. The best big jumps in the East are at Loon hands down. Another option as mentioned above is Mount Snow which will have good medium jumps(30-40ft) all year and good big jumps(50-65) after the Dew Tour.

mt snow will have a sick park, but its flat as fuck. if you want an all mountain experience, id loon/cannon, maybe killy, sugarbush is not a bad bet either

loon is not a good all mountain mountain, it's a great park mountain but other than that there isn't a lot of terrain and it's usually crowded

stay away from killington unless by big jumps you mean small jumps

Loon has really good all mountain skiing so I don't know why everyone is saying Loon is only good for park.  Loon is an awesome mountain, especially for shredding some bumps.  Super fun.

Yeah are family's would probably be happy skiing with anything decent since the hill we normally ski on has a 1300 feet summit elevation and we only have like 20 trails. Thanks for the help, any other suggestions?

they're like 45 minutes to an hour away form each other. if you had to pick one, you should choose sunday river. rocking chair gets some pretty nice-sized jumps set up around christmas-ish.

i live i new hampshire and last year i took a trip up to loon and waterville. watterville is sick but its a more snowboard designed park, but loon was perfect suuuch a sick park, you could ride it all day long and have fun every run. super jumps wicked sick rail setups and when i went perfect snow. there is also mt. snow wich has the biggest park in new hampshire. i also herd cranmore is wicked sick

sunday river's parks are mediocre, too short, and dont have great flow. i recommend loon for jumps if they keep up the work theyve been doing. possibly mt snow or stratton also. jay for powder, and sugarloaf for everything. but sugarloaf is icy and windy on most days sooo... maybe for spring only

loon is fun, good park when not crowded as fuck with JOEY's from mass that can only find there way 10 miles off rt 93 (eeeyyy JOey) and there gaper buds with the same haircut rocking jager bombs (nothing against jager) Sunday River is way bigger way more options lift wise you dont get stuck in a huge line unless your numb and lap a gaper chair all day - Park is big gets real big they had the dumont cup and his world record - so its legit and has some great spots to shout out to the pot marijuana in the woods (10 clock spot my personal fav) but yeah just go to both there about1hr and half to 2 hours apart Kancamagus highway driving in a snow storm is like snowmobiling in CA but without a mountain sled (highly suggest) and the foggy goggle is good and the Matterhorn pizza that will make you cum in your pants and not to mention plenty of cool maine-iacs and im from NH - but best spot to ski in NH is TUX hands down - Next !

mount snow cause we have the best park and lots of fun people. the north face as some good steep stuff and trees and the rest of the mountain is ok when the gaper threat is in the green zone.
