Any NSers looking at Boston College or Villanova for college?

I am considering these schools, and was wondering if any NSers are looking at them too or already go there. give me some info on where to ski and stuff

I toured Boston College. Apparently they have a pretty decent ski club there that takes trips pretty frequently to places up north like Mt. Snow and Okemo, as for local hills I really have no idea. Great school, not the right vibe for me. If you get in and feel it's right, I'd highly suggest attending.

Im from bryn mawr right around villanova. Its a great school and a great town shitton of colleges around the area. However WHY THE F!@# would an nser go to school in P.A suburbs when you have vermont and colorado and everyother place with snow

My best friend races for the BC girls team, they practice at Wachussett, Mount Snow is probably 2.5ish hours from there. Thats all the advice I have to give.

i'm not really basing my college choice around ski places. i applied to uvm, but to be honest it is below my academic level.

well i would get rejected form both of them.
but BC, been there once or twice and the campus is nice plus its in a great location. not quite in boston but close enough. Newton is a really nice town and you dont have to go into the city all the time for stupid little things.
but then again i fucking hate PA and im from boston so im very biased.

that's what i love about BC. you get a college town campus, but a huge city is a 20 minute T ride away

+ it's a very good school academic wise + the football games + the hockey games + it's close enough to NH. I'd go to BC if i were you.

Newton is a great suburb, and yea its probably 4.5 from Sugarloaf, 4 from sunday river, 3 to loon, and 2.5 to okemo, but there are a lot of other decent hills around too, just the longer you drive the better it gets.

that's good, but there are a few great schools out west that would satisfy both your academic drive and skiing addiction. I'm glad I didn't pick UVM or Colgate or any EC school that I got into. I was born and raised a bit on the East, then moved out west. I can safely say that the west coast attitude is SO much more laid back. You will have a dope ski season. If you smoke, you can get awesome ganja. There are plenty of gorgeous women. If you want, I can come up with a list of schools at or around BC academic level on the west coast.

But if you want to stay east, that's cool too. To each his own!
