Dakine Photo Block

Anyone have any experience buying this separate and putting it into another backpack?  For what I'm looking for, a stylish bag that will safely carry my dslr gear, it seems to be a good alternative the the Mission or Sequence.

The photo block is HUGE, it'll maybe fit in another pack but you'll have less room than the sequence which is designed to have the block in it

for example it doesn't fit in my mammut pack which is bigger than my mission, the mission is just designed to have the block in so it fits perfectly

i was looking into the photo block.  i don't really know what your needs are but i ended up with the lowepro primus aw.  it has two separate compartments: one for camera body/lenses and one for other gear.  it also has what's similar to a beaver tail for a bladder.  in the camera section it can fit a large camera body with lens and two other lenses.  the other pocket has enough room to fit a lunch, jacket, and some other shiz.  look it up and let me know if you want more info.  oh and it's super comfy.

i have the mission with the photoblock and i love it. the block fits in perfectly and its easy to access you stuff when its in. i can fit one camera body with battery grip with lens, 3 regular size lenses and one big zoom (canon 70-200) in the block.

Dont buy the mission and photo block seperately. They dont fit. If you want a mission/photo block combo then buy the actual mission photo pack. I bought them separately and the block is too big.

that's what i thought! i actually found it on ebay for $130 with free shipping.  it came super quick too.
