Okay so the G-20 commences of the 24th of this month. My school (Duquesne) has cancelled classes from noon on the 23rd thru the 25th. so i have a 5 day weekend because of it.
I'm pretty excited about it coming because of all the hype that Pittsburgh will get for that couple days but it's also gonna really shut down the city. All public transportation will come to a halt and most downtown venues (shops, restaurants, small offices) are due to be boarded up. It's gonna be nearly impossible to get around.
I live in the Southside of Pittsburgh which won't be affected as much because it's across the river but I'm wondering whether i wanna get out of the city for that couple days just because it will be such a mess. I tried getting a student photography press pass but not even staff members are getting them. So i don't see much in it to be here except for the sheer fact that with all the protesters and organizations coming in it could be a kind of exciting time.
So i could...
A) Stay and soak it all in
B) Head down to Va Tech and chill with a homie for a few days
