yeah.. I couldnt give a rats about pro sports... other than perhaps baseball, and soccer they're all a pain in the fucking ass to wait through commercials with and they all come at random times that disrupt the natural flow of the game. At least with baseball and soccer, you know when commercials are going to happen... and in soccer, most of the commercials are just along the sides of the stadium lol (this is why its not popular here - tv channels dont want to broadcast a sport where you cant commercialize the crap out of it, so nobody sees it and nobody likes it)
College sports though.. especially when they arent on national TV, are freaking rad and have waaay fewer commercial breaks and disruptions of play. If the game isnt even televised, then youre actualy in and out of there in 2 hours, if the game includes lots of running plays and timekilling... Hell.. College basketball alone has like 20 fewer timeouts per game or something (seriously.. 28 times outs per game is not necessary, NBA...)
Cal pulverized Maryland today... 52-13. They just ran the clock out in the 4th quarter, and Maryland's TD was scored against Cal's 2nd team defense... it easily could have been 66-6 (which sounds a little devilish, but seriously.. it was utter destruction...)
whoa whoa whoa... band on the field? I'm assuming you're speaking about THE PLAY. Cal > Stanfurd back in the 80s?
That, was not luck... that was just stanfurd getting owned by a rugby play. Even if the band wasnt on the field Tommy Moen still would have scored. And no, he knee was not down.
We got the axe. The end.
As for the hail mary throws for wins... those are always pure luck. CU actually has the 2 most LUCKED OUT plays of all time - The 5th down game, and the "Miracle in Michigan". They were just pure luck, and that's that... and I actually like CU, so theres no hate there buff kids..
Not a huge fan of either school... but DAMN this could have been awesome hahaha.
Kinda gay but.. whatever...
HAHAHA I find it so funny.
Lol. You think the band members would be able to actually knock him over? look what Moen did to the trombone player in the endzone... lets see.. gigantor linebacker, running full speed ahead or a guy with a horn... i'm putting my money on the linebacker in full pads over just about anything other than 'the ARMY TANKS are on the field'...
And they couldnt rule the game dead just because the band of the defending team came on the field... they would just throw a flag for it... in which case, Cal would have been deep in Stanfurd territory with 0 on the clock, and be able to kick a field goal for the win.
we got everything we need. our blue field rocks. your just hatin cause your original and boring. and n obody wants to go here cause we are gona kick there ass if they do
cu's gonna be rebuilding for at least another year...
they have great offensive talent though.. especially at running back. Give them one more year and they'll be a tough customer on the ground, and have a solid OL to push around defenses.
