Skiing with an iphone...

sounds risky, i would just get a shuffle or somthing to ski with and keep your phone in your backpack

yeah i put my iphone in my chest pocket all season and didnt have any problems.

I rocked my iPod touch in an inner chest pocket basically all season and I was fine.  I would go for it.  Or just get like a Nano or Shuffle like said.

Well the touch screen works with the heat from your fingers, so if you want to keep your gloves on it will be a pain in the ass.  Or use your nose!

depends on how cold it is.. my iphone shut down on me everytime i went skiing during the morning, but after thatit was all good..

kept mine in the chest pocket.

As much as I love all this hi-tech stuff, the last thing I really want to be doing when I'm in the mountains is to be yaking on a cell phone. I kind of enjoy not being connected to a Crackberry or a cell phone or the Internet when I'm at a resort.

I save that until I'm off the hill, back where I'm staying, then I get connected.

Oh, now I realize that I don't even own a cell phone or a Crackberry.

take the sim card out and put it in a different phone. then use a shuffle.my phone decided to go skiing last season .

You wouldn't believe the amount of broken iphones i saw at windells. defintely not worth it. i have a touch and i use my old nano. personally i would go buy a shuffle.

i ski with the iphone, no protection.....there's no problem at all...i'd suggest to put it in an inside pocket of your jacket...

I did all last season and didn't realize the cold/heat transitions (in and out of lodges etc) would set off the moisture sensor. I developed a crack near the mute switch and took into Apple and they said they wouldn't warranty it because the moisture sensor had been triggered.

So no, I wouldn't do it again.

get a real phone, get a blackberry.  I have the Bold and it even syncs right up with itunes.

Haha i broke my iphone summerskiing in juvass, but not because of moist or stuff like that. went skiing all winter with it and nothing happened to it, no protection what so ever :)
got my 4th concussion of the season:P iphone didn't make it :'(
