DeebieSkeebiesYeah as much as wanting to cheat isn't cool, there really isn't any need to fuck over people like this. They're just dicks fucking up their relationships and lives themselves. Maybe their partners/kids a little bit but its not really the world's worst thing. Not good but doesn't deserve royally fucking over people for it.
They should really go after human/sex trafficking sites on the deep web and shit that are infinitely way worse than someone trying to get some sidepiece action.
I mean the thing is that I'm kind of dubious when it comes to mob justice. For sure I like it when the bad guys get punished... hell I'm a massive fan of comic books, super heros and my favorite is the punisher.
When applied to real life though, the problem is false positives.
In this situation, marrige is complicated as fuck. I'm 5 years deep in mine, two kids and 11 total years together. I absolutely love my wife, but sure there is plenty of times that shit gets really hard. It ends up being a lot like living with sibilings or your parents - though you love them and in the end your relationship is amazing - there's times where shit is terrible.
I'm certainly not in that Ashley Madison database (go ahead and check) but I can imagine dudes that were in a really dark place, right on the edge of divorice... completely depressed and hating their lives. They signed up because they figured "Fuck it, its all over anyway, why not see what it would be like if it was?"
Then bam - Wife came around, they saw a therapist, dude got out of depression... whatever. All of a sudden shit is all good. Dude signed up to just see what life might be like post divorice because his life was awful on both sides.... and then 10 years later BAM - he's a target of this hack for being a piece of shit thinking of cheating on his wife. Take the same story and reverse male for female and I'm sure there's cases of the same.
Mob justice outs that person as a piece of shit and crucifies them in public media and to their circle of friends. Worse if they're a public figure. When in reality, they were just in a shitty place in life and did one completely harmless action. Who hasn't ever had bad thoughts? Acting on them is bad, having them is human.
When mob justice gets to the point that it can harm the people who were simply thinking about something, that shit is fucked up. Its not right.
As much as mob justice can do good, the risk of its false positives is frankly too high for this to be acceptable behavior.
Henceforth why a civilized society outlaws this shit every time it comes back to haunt us.
