Percocet = Oxycodone + Acetaminophen*
Brand names: Endocet, Magnacet, Narvox, Percocet, Roxicet, Tylox
The reason taking percs recreationally is really bad is because of the acetaminophen. Probably one of the more common prescriptions for Percocet is 5 mg of oxycodone & 325 mg of acetaminophen. By the time you get to recreational dosage for the oxycodone you're already almost at 1,000 mgs of acetaminophen which is terrible for your liver. I got prescribed percocet for my foot surgery. I honestly don't know what I would have done without it. i was doubling, sometimes tripling my dosage because the pain was so bad. They hit a nerve during surgery and it felt like someone had lit my foot on fire and was then repeatedly stabbing it with a rusty knife. I didn't have any problems stopping. It also made me super constipated.

Vicodin = Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen OR Ibuprofen**
Brand Names: Anexsia, Dolorex Forte, Hycet, Liquicet, Lorcet, Lortab, Maxidone, Norco, Polygesic, Stagesic, Vicodin, Xodol, Zamicet, Zydone
I was prescribed vics by the ER when I broke my foot (2 weeks before surgery). The vics didn't do shit for me. I was still just in as much pain as before. I was prescribed Vicoprofen which is hydrocodone + ibuprofen. Hydrocodone + acetaminophen is more common.

I've never had OxyContin before. It's basically the same thing as percocet but without the acetaminophen.

God, some people have NO idea what they're talking about. It takes about 5 minutes of research to figure out what the drugs actually are. Stop confusing brand names with the actual drug.
