This post makes me laugh.
I think girls that sport LV purses or Coach or anything else that is obvious is just a pathetic proof of wealth. I find it sad that they need to display their financial wealth in such manners.
On the other hand, I carry around a $500 bag that I got for $300. It has no brand name anywhere on the bag except one location on the zipper. It is medium size and then expands to hold my laptop and camera. Is made out of amazing quality leather and sealed to be as waterproof as leather can be. I can use it as a laptop bag, school bag, portfolio bag, or beach bag and not look over dressed or under dressed in any of those circumstances. I could have purchased a backpack, but then when I'm going to a store, they wouldn't let me in cause they would think I was shop lifting. I could have purchased a purse but then I would still need a messenger bag for when I go to meet clients.
I think the resize-ability, quality, and waterproofing makes $300 well worth $300. And bags of that sort of quality aren't meant to last 10 years like a long lived back pack, they are meant to last 30+ which is why you can still purchase LV purses from the 60's at a still quite high price.
