Lake Placid water ramps???

Unfortunately I will be working in NJ till October, and want to keep working on what I have started at Woodward @ Copper the other night.
I have water ramped in Steamboat before and they required a USSA membership in order to hit the ramps. My membership has expired and I think its like $200 or something fucking insane to renew.
Are the Lake Placid ramps open to the public on weekends (the only time I can head up from NJ)?
Do I need a USSA membership card?
thanks!

you need a ussa or usasa membership and its around 70$ for one of those, the ramps are open until mid october but only open on weekends in that month I Think, and in septmber they should be open all week long

On USSA's website it says its $120 for a "competitor" card. I was under the assumption that the $60 "rookie" rate only applies for the FIRST time you buy a membership, and then each renewal after is considered "competitor".
