sidewall question

thats not stupid at all. im not sure exactly how it effects the flex of the ski either, but i can make an educated guess. first off, i think it all depends on the initial stiffness of the core of the ski. but i think that if you took the same ski core construction, and had one pair with a vertical sidewall vs a pair with a 30 degree sidewall, the 30 degree sidewall version would be slightly more flexy. a completely vertical sidewall would be more rigid than an angled one, i think. i could be completely wrong about this though, if you think about the physics it makes sense though.

the 30 degre sidewall gives you much more power to your edges and lets you have balance on rails. since teh topsheet is narrower than the bottom your weight is pressed downwoards strongly. but they do have problmes wih getting pushed in(usaly abs) but on the hole they are the best for park
