I went last year and it was a ton of fun. watch out for the nitrous mafia tho. the music kinda sucks but its a real good time. It kinda makes me angry that last year they said it was thier last and got all sassy about it. oh well

It really surprises me when NS shows they don't have any good taste in music.

Yes, I am going.  Yes, i love Moe, Cake, and Umphrey's Mcgee.  Meth and Red is just icing on the cake in my mind.

God damn, there are some people in my generation who i believe must have been fucked in the ear a bit too many times and had their brain washed to believe the garbage they listen to is acceptable.

Cake was good even though the singer got schwated. I freaked out near the end and ran for the campground. Umpheys played a solid day set. Meth and Red were pretty good.

The heavy pets and the new mastersounds both through down solid sets. The new mastersounds killed it.

Sam bush beasted out a nice day set. Mathew sweet was sick for anyone who wanted to remember some 90s hits.

It's a great festival, if you missed snoe.ridge you really missed out. Place was beautiful. Great venue. Made it a few years there. But this new venue is pretty sick too. Further played there already. They seem to be working out the problems with traffic that happened at that show. It's gonna be a rage.

Tickets started at like 85 last year. 3 days with camping. Plenty of good music. They've had some sick bands over the years.

A 3day fest with tickets under a 100 with a solid lineup is a great price.

They got that shit under control pretty well. Moe.down 10 was wayyyy better nitrous wise than the past couple years.

snow ridge ski center in turin ny. Place was sick. Visited there to pay my respects last month.

Now they are throwing a shitty fest this year and calling it the  "11th annual jam festival" as if 10 years of moe.down was their own doing.

Now moe.down is at the Gelston Castle Estate in mohawk ny

Probably why there were balloons in glowsticks all over when the snow melted. Nice place to sit on the hill looking down at mainstage. Family caming was across from the lot, main camping was from the road to the hill 3 trails worth. Theres a ditch in the woods between the two main camping spots, that was always the party spot. DITCH PARTY!!!!!!!!

Idk, good memories. Never actually brought my board there in the winter. Are you a local of that area? Or just the closest mountain?

After hand drawing the whole trail map I decided to take a shortcut and use paint for the map key.

If the lodge is in red than it's pretty accurate. If your looking up the wide hill behind the lodge and you walk to you left there is a little opening in the woods, that was the entrance from camping to the venue. If you keep walking across that feild your walking down shakedown, in the center of camping, when youget to the woods there is a path through and a ditch in the middle. that was the site of epic ditch parties. if you walk out the other side there is more camping at the base of the next 2 trails.

Wish I was going this year, I have a wedding. Anyone driving watch out, after the Furthur show in Mohawk there were a bunch of cops giving DWI tests. Also, if you want cheap decent beer check out Utica Club, it is made right down the road in Utica NY.

I guess the venue is pretty awesome great views, there are stories that the house is haunted. I used to go there in Highschool def a creepy ass place at tonight.

Thew thing with the further show show was, after the show you leave. At the festival dwi's are a lot less likely unless people are idiots.  Sure there will be plenty of busts on the way in and out though. Hopefully not as bad as turin.

How much is UC for a 30 rack? I've had it before but never bought  it. I usually pick up keystone for 15$ a 30 for the down.

Uc actually comes in bottles now. You are correct a case of beer is 24 beers Bottles come in 6 or  12 packs. Case only in cans. Also they released Pale ale in cans this year. 

 Also rumor has it from the Phish msg boards that Phish will be playing Utica on 10-20-10. I am guessing from all the hype on the net that fall tour will be released today.

I already sent in my lottery request for fall tour tickets. As far as shows and fests, I avoid bringing glass. Just get's messy. Bag wine and plastic bottle wiskey will be around. Moonshine was kickin around the camp last year.


But just ordered my ticket finally yesterday. Ordered over 1k glowsticks today so I'm set to party.

For anyone who is going. Be prepared for rainbows raining through the sky either mid lotus set or second moe.set(first night set) on saturday. Eat some party favors and let them fly.

Yeah for sure man. Hopefully I get the shows I requested. I'll def bump this thread when I find out, should know this next week when I get back from the .down.


And monsterstruck, probably looking at 10k or under this year, prime camping isn't too hard to find. Def get there while the suns up though. Especially if the traffic problems repeat themselves.

SO of this group of friends from another town I've done a whole bunch of shows with and a couple moe.downs. They decided not to go last minute. One kid had a ticket he couldn't get rid of. Told him I'd take it in case someone I knew needed one last minute. Figured worst case I sell it at the gate cheaper than they are there.

On the drive home, 20 min after I bought the ticket, my buddy from jersey calls me up. He's like you goin to moe.down, I'm like fuck yeah you? Ask him if he's got tickets, his friend all did but him. Told him I just picked up a ticket with his name on it.

Just had the feeling to go drive an hour and a half each way to buy my friend ticket and help him out, knowing I could put it to good use some how.

Built a wagon today, managed to fit it in my little cavy. Got the tent. easy up, table, chairs, everything in the car. Made some solid progress.




See you all at the .down tomorrow. It's going to be another fire year. It always is. Safe travels everyone.
