Scratch or PE?

I am getting a new pair of skis, and I live in the midwest and pretty much ski park only cause our hill is crappy. But, I am going out to montana this spring for a week and I want to ski the whole mountain. Which is the better all mountain ski? I am 6ft 160lbs, should I get about a 180cm?

Scratch Fs for park only, PE for park and all mtn, Scratch BC for all mountain only (although the BCs do work pretty damn well in the park, I didn't believe it until I demoed them). All good skis for in their own right.

The Scratch FS in NOT just a park ski, it's just marketing hype the Scratch FS may be one of the best all-mountian skis out there. I have the PE and it's great. Demo them both then see what you like.

I've got both, and yes the scratch's aren't the best carvers, they do feel kinda wierd on edge. However they are a great ski, but I do have to reccomend the PE's; they are so great carving and carving switch, the base and edges are indestructable, and the rivets are a good de-lam preventer

scratches are way better overall, i have rode pubilcs for like 70 days and i have rode scratches ever since then ... like 95 days and the scratches own.. plus the publics are 379 now and the new 05 fs's are only 399 now

if you dont want the rubbery feeling when you are carving get the blue and white regular scratches. they are just as great in the park just not as flexible cause they have a wood core instead of the foam core of the new scratches(it is debateable which is better). so they are stiffer and can hold a much better edge than the regular fs

the fs's are noodles. the PE's are stiff. both ski well, both are good in the park. there you go, you should be able to base your choice off that

I skied next years Scratch BC yesterday for 2 runs. Not much sidecut, so it felt weird to turn on groomed shit. Real stiff as well. I was hesitant off the jumps, but was incedibly surprised at how well they float, spin, andte landing is effortless and smooth on them.

Overall, while there are better all-around skis, the BC was very good.

i havnt seen the 2005 scratchs on the internet at all but a guy thats sponsored by rossi at my mtn has them, there like marroon and baby blue they look sick. and rossi now has the bindings to match like the p12 jibs match the tm's. i think im waiting till i can get me a pair of those and gettin them.
