Biggest disappointment of my summer/ year

So, I've been wishing away my entire summer for the Blink 182 show, my fav band since I was like 10. We get there, the tour bus was there and they didnt play bc of Dj Am dying. Weezer kicked ass (played an MGMT cover) but I decided Id rather go through 3 kicks in the balls before reliving that night again ='[
I think a capslocked FML is appropriate

Wow NS, I'd be pretty fucking dissapointed to if I paid money to see Blink 182 in concert and they didn't play cause DJ AM killed himself.  No disrespect to DJ AM, he was an amazing DJ and had a sick sneaker collection but seriously.  He wasn't in Blink 182 (I'm assuming) so why the fuck would they not play.  It sounds like a shitty excuse to not play a concert.  I mean I understand he died but you have a ton of fans out there waiting for you to play and everything is set up and you just decide your not gunna play.  I'm sorry but that is a little ridiculous.  And plus the guy killed himself or OD'ed on drugs.  Not saying it doesn't suck he died but seriously, he took his own life.  When that happens I find it that much harder to feel sorry for the guy.

i dont know man. as far as i can tell travis barker and dj am were good friends. if a friend kills themself you deserve some time to mourn. i dont care if your famous or a janitor.

Travis Barker and DJ AM were great friends and did a music collaboration together. my guess is that Blink didn't play because Travis was too distraught over DJ AM's death.

just to add on to what others said, when travis barker was in that tragic plane crash that killed 4, i think him and DJ AM were the only 2 to survive, and they were really good friends.

first of all, you seem like a dick

they were all great friends with him, i saw the show in hartford and mark was crying on the stage, they replaced travises drum solo with a moment of silence, i dont blame them at all for not playing

and dj am had been sober for like 10 years but started taking prescription and other drugs to deal with the physical and emotional pain of being in a fucking plane crash with travis, he didnt just kill himself cause he was bored

vibes to the OP, you missed a great show

Kidding.  I agree, shit sucks, but a death is something that qualifies canceling a show for.  Just go listen to "Rock Show" on full blast with your eyes close, it's pretty much the same thing, except for the lack of screaming teeny boppers.

atleast they played, i was only going to see weezer cause i fucking love weezer all time favorite band, and now the ohio one i was going to isnt till the 30th and weezer wont be there, cause they stop touring on the 17th, instead we get fall out boy, so im gonna try to sell our front row tickets lol

i know i wouldnt want to play a full gig after one of my good friends dies.. so i think thats a good enough reason for them to drop out. i dont think its really fair to be bitching about missing out on that concert.
