It is plain stupid how much these go for. I sold my MFG Red 2 months ago for $60. I'm not here to rip people off. Don't be an idiot and rip kids off for these, I figured it was a fair price although the kid offered more.

I think $50-60 is what the Level 1 Crew is worth. These aren't rare antiques they are sweatshirts for God's sake.

Do you think you payed a fair price for the quality of the outerwear? Or did you pay more because of the Saga name and because it's a little bit bigger than your average medium sized jacket?

They are "valued" high because its not worth it to me to sell them for any less. These hoodies mean alot to me, and I know other people would like them as well. If someone wants the hoodies at what I'd like to sell them for then I'm happy to know they are going to someone who will appreciate them as much as I did.

That analogy makes no sense. I'm talking about paying for Jiberish. What it's worth, and what it should sell for. There is a difference between buying something new and buying something used. If you can buy this crewneck NEW for $65 then why should you pay for it for $30 dollars more USED.

I bought my Saga for $300 NEW, it has 20k/20k waterproof. I think that's a pretty fair price wouldn't you say? Do you think my Saga would be worth $400 USED just because they're sold out? I don't think so. It's not like they're Nike What The Dunks. $90 for a used sweater is rediculous.

When something is not new/used the value goes DOWN. The sweater is a fucking rare antique for God's sake.

You're going to tell me that the copy I just found is worth less than a new copy from Barnes and Noble? No, of course not.

Just like these, they're worth more than the original MSRP not because of the condition of the hoodies, (I really doubt they've IMPROVED in quality) but because there weren't very many made and now they're extremely hard to find, especially in those sizes.

The fact of the matter is is that it is not worth the money. People may be WILLING to pay it, all I'm saying is that it's rediculous, $90 for a used sweater? Jeeze. NS isn't supposed to be a place where you rip off kids. I sell my product for what I would pay. Obviously it is much different in the corporate world. But if NS wants to go corprate, right on. I was just adding my 2 cents.

But thats the principle united states economics is based off of, supply and demand, you arent ripping them off if they are willing to pay that much money for it. its our right to make a profit if its possible in any situation, i think its awesome to see people making money while making other people happy at the same time, but thats just me...and i am a business school student so maybe i am biased

I haven't seen this much resale value in my 9 months on ns, but hey the 09 season is done. Whatever I don't really care anymore, I'm just tired and I want to go to bed.

Everything about the economic model works.  Fine, congrats you applied it to a sale, and yes, it makes sense.  However, this is newschoolers where you're selling to other people, not just faceless schmuck's with credit card numbers.  NS used to be a place where people were hooked up with sweet gear for cheaper.  A place where sellers to joy and pride in hooking someone up and making them happy.  NS never used to be used for business...

Kyle, with all due respect, I bet you love this sweaters and I'm sure you value them a ton, but raising your price doesn't compensate for that.  Money can't sway that value, if you actually do value them that much.  The fact is, you were going to sell them anyway and that is just an excuse to make more money.  Hell, we see that all the time now on NS. 

If I'm reading this wrong, then fine, I'm an idiot.  It's just my two cents though. 

The fact that NS is willing to pay that much for them is kinda sad too.  It's very likely that there will be more Jiberish/Level 1 collabs (unless it's been mentioned that they aren't).  Just like every piece of gear, there will be NEW stuff to buy if people would just wait...
