I can push to class.
I can push to the gas station.
I can push to the scenic outdoor smoke spots.
I can push wherever I want.

I reduced a 10-15 minute walk to some classes to an enjoyable ride on a piece of wood.

I am the king of mobility, and if the longboard can't handle it, my Forester can!

Longboarding is legit when you live on campus, my whole freshman year consisted of longboarding everywhere. Now that I live off campus, its bike and moped travel, even more legit.

i am in high school still but i longboard to school. Its like a mile but i start on a hill both ways. It is so much faster than walking, I wake up like 10 minutes later and have fun going to school. It is slower than biking but it is more fun than biking.

I just love that it is an accepted form of transport.  It is not uncommon to pass other longboarders no matter where I go, and I see wheelmarks all over the place.

when my mom and i went to drop my brother off at school saturday i saw soooo many goo spots to skate. The parking garage is perfect, next time i go to visit him i am gonna bring my board and we are gonna ride. The sidewalks between buildings are perfect also. Oh yeah the school is Southern Connecticut.

Ive never seen so many kids on longboards in my life. When I was a freshman there was like 2 or 3 kids that had 'em, now every kid in burlington is riding around on one. The only upside to it is that people are way more on guard so when they hear my tangs comin, they gtfootw

I got real drunk my sophomore year and bombed down a hill onto a footbridge on campus where I crashed into the wooden railing, punched a hole in the side of it with the board, flipped over the rail into the water and broke my wrist. To make matters worse, this was in front of no less than 150 people eating dinner. Apparently it was really hilarious and memorable because people started calling it the Holte Bridge for a few months. My point is: longboarding on campus can make you famous.

i'm just waiting for next fall when all of these kids riding longboards will have fixed gears. if fixies are anything like longboards were, it goes: few cool people ripping around>hipsters>kids on newschoolers>everybody and their mom>nobody except few people again.
