Anybody good with Computers?

So my computer is being reallly gay cuz somehow this shitty program Nortel got installed and i cant get rid of it. When i go to uninstall programs it doesnt show up and it causes alot of annoying pop ups about viruses and is fuckin my computer up. Help please / + k

pretty sure you can just go to add/remove programs in control panel and remove it there

Delete system32 and than reboot your computer. It only works 78.35% of the time so are you feelin' lucky?

Just my personal opinion, but I don't think it's such a great idea for someone who isn't fairly comfortable with computers to reformat without help from someone.

I made the mistake of suggesting my friend reformat his PC when it started getting corrupted, and he ended up making it worse before he guilt tripped me in to fixing it for him.

Again, just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt and all that.

look up the program online and usually on the programs website it will say how to uninstall it.
if it doesnt show up in add/remove, then this is your best bet..

Here's an actual solution, or at least a plausible one.
I had some junk programs on my desktop earlier and here is something to try.
Download:
anti-spyware programs (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) I forget what I used but I've heard nothing but good things about this

anti-malware programs (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php)

anti-virus program (http://free.avg.com/)


I actually found the anti-virus that I used http://http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-Anniversary-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?tag=mncol . If that doesn't work just look around for Ad-Aware.

yea ^, i already have avg and avast installed on my comp for anti virus, and this shitty nortel program as impossible to rid of, im just wondering if idump will work after reinstalling vista

Start > Run > regedit32 > hit okay

Search the registry for what is causing you to fuckup, aka win32virus.dll causes a popup everytime you start the computer. you would search for

win32virus.dll

Delete every instance that you see of it.

Also

start > run > msconfig > start-up tab , uncheck anything that you don't want booting with your computer. Including Nortel.

This is actual real help from a real computer genius. And no I don't work at the fucking apple store.
