Lol, I love Glenn Beck. I think he's absolutely brilliant on radio. I could swear he's an undercover Liberal agent doing all he can to discredit the Conservative movement, and he is doing a fantastic job of being over the top and crazy.
please don't. i highly doubt signing an online petition is going to take him off the air, however, it's going to give him and his fans ammunition to claim a liberal conspiracy is working to silence the voice of truth.
perhaps, but i don't think it's going to help in the long run. fox will never pull his show, their business model relies on controversially outspoken pundits, you know? other advertisers will eventually step up i think.
i listen to rush occasionally, the last radio show of his i heard was a week or two ago. he was talking about the whole foods boycott and building it up to be as attack by a vicious liberal agenda.
i lean more conservative, but i can't stand to listen to the entertainers masquerading as political commentators that seem to be running the republican propaganda machine these days. just ignore people like beck and rush and they'll eventually go away, but if you strike them down they will become more powerful than you ever imagined.
lol. i still disagree about beck though. sure fox may rely on outspoken pundits, but it is still a business. hes been losing a LOT of advertisers as of late. money talks eh?
^Wow is that a dishonest, contortionist piece of writing. Way to completely ignore the companies who have specifically excluded Beck and no other shows, leading to Fox imposing a 2 week hiatus on Beck recently. Meanwhile I know of no MSNBC or CNN show that has had an advertiser say they are pulling out as a result of this ad boycott. Just Beck. "Newsmax", huh.
I really dont think it would be that bad if advertisers didnt fund any cable shows as much, i think cable "news" shows in general are bad. Even though i hate on fox news shows like beck, i went through a couple month period after i discovered countdown with keith olberman. i thought he was the shit until that wore off and i realized that he is the liberal bill oriley. i know there may be some good cable news shows but most of them are just bad in general
see but i really dont think theres anythign wrong with watching them for entertainments sake. for example i watch keith olbermann all the time, but i watch his show like i watch the daily show or colbert report, because its funny, not because its news
hate if you want but i actually think the daily show has more journalistic integrity than many cable programs. the problem is network news programs treat everybody like they have an accurate point which is often not the case. Cable networks have nothing but time and are already split conservative and liberal so they play to their audience and talk shit bout the other guys.
The daily show takes a stance when it makes sence to. Someone does something dumb, jon calles them on it. However when there is little news, they just do random comedy bs instead of the dumb shit cable shows do.
I do watch msnbc programs like countdown, as well as some fox programs (what can i say, i like geraldo) but i do so knowing their bias and it isnt as entertaining as blindly watching countdown and aggreeing to everything he says.
However, i think the rachel maddow show does a good job. the good apple!
hahahaha id actually agree there. stewart probably does have more journalistic integrity. cant stand maddow personally though, and im as liberal as it gets. i do think anderson cooper has a good show, and he generally does a pretty good job of trying not to take sides, and just ask questions
i hated maddow at first because she always has that "im better than this guy" look on her face when she talks about things, but once I watched it a few more times I started to actually like her show
