ON3P Jeronimos vs K2 Kung Fujas

I know there alot of threads like this but there are literaly no threads on jeronimos.

So I am just compeltly stuck on which ski I should get. Living in the west coast i get a fair amount of powder skiing which i enjoy alot more than park, but park is still a large part of my day.

Jeronimos say to be mounted at -3, will this make much of a difference at park. Oh and i am just getting into park, like 3's and fs switch ups on a good day. But to my unproffesional eye this ski looks better for powder. Im 5 10ish and 181 to me seems a little big to me. What do you think?

The Kung Fujas are a bit more expensive but they come with the schizo system which i think is a great idea. Over all would you suggest 179 Fujas or 181 jeronimos for a good mix of park and powder?

well i ride my jeronimos everywhere on the hill, and i have them for those non pow/spring/park/all mountain groomer lapping days, with a mount at -1.5 (thats completely personal preference, as like i said, i ride them for those park-ish days where im not charging pow, and i like to be more in the center of my ski regardless) and they kill it everywhere.

as far as sizing goes, the 179 fujas and the 181 jeronimo are basically the same size, k2's measure quite a bit longer than their listed length (in my experience).  how much do you weigh? at 5'10" 181 is a perfect length for your height no doubt, im surprised no one has chimed in about this yet.

wow i didnt really answer your question at all, i apologize! haha.

if you are looking for a one ski quiver ski that will kill it everywhere (park, pow, groomers, lift line, trees, etc) the Jeronimo can be that ski for you. the only reason i ride it on those park/groomer/spring days is because i already have a pow ski.

they will kill it everywhere you take them for sure no question about it.

thats a pretty solid comparison, kung fujas (from what i hear, as ive never skied jeronimos) is a bit softer. the sizing has to be about the same, from what scott has said, they ski pretty close to true to size. you cant make a wrong decision, and if you want, you can mount the schizo binding on either ski

Only the Kung Fujas come with inserts built into the core for the Schizo's, making the bnding/ski retention twice as strong. A system similar to snowboard inserts.Or, you can buy the ski flat and throw on your own binders.

so schizo's are kung fujas-specific?  or can they be mounted on other skis?

and are both the heel and toe movable independently?  IE used for a demo binding to allow for different mounting points and different BSLs?

You can buy regular Schizos from Marker and put them on any ski you wish.

Or you can buy a Kung Fujas, Extreme, obSETHed, and HellBent with Schizo and built in inserts.
You can also buy those skis flat and put you own bindings on them. Then they come with NO inserts.

The Schizo system is pretty crazy though man. Once you set it up for your boot size, you don't even have to unclick from them to change position. You just use the little key to crank them forward or backwards.

Sean Decker skied on them at Hood all summer with no complaints, so they seem to have built them right. I have only skied a few days on them, but that wasn't putting them through a ringer, so I was stoked that Decker couldn't fuck them up.

i found a production info sheet on them.  6cm total travel (+/- 3cm from whereever you mounted them).  sounds pretty darn slick.  marker is single-handedly trying to exterminate the "where do i mount my skis" threads?    plus the regular jester, plus the demo jester with sliding toe and heel pieces..... they're investing in r&d for sure.

you cant buy just the inserts. thats only a k2 specific thing. and believe me, ive throughly researched that (as i want to be able to move bindings from ski to ski)

the schizo system is dope, but you can put it on anything, just drilling it the same way you would a normal binding. this is the perfect ski to put that system on, actually, as it gives u the ability to center for park and slide it back for pow.

would 169 kung fujas's be good for someone 5'10 150lbs? since they would measure more like 175, i held them up to some other 75's in a shop and they were about the same. cause 185 might be pretty big for a park ski, and 175 is a little short for rocker.
