no way thats real. by the time they got that guy to the hospital, his leg would be all sorts of funny colors. and, that stick wasnt sharp on the end. if it had hit with enough force to drive a stick that big and blunt through a leg, the leg would have just broke in multiple places and be severely cut. but not impaled.

looks pretty fake to me, but i've seen similar stuff in real life (although the stick in that picture would have been going through bone, never seen or heard of that in real life).

its possible that it is real, crazy shit happens in mountain biking. my dad is a emergency doctor in whistler and he always tells me crazy storys of people killing and hurting themselves on the mountains so i wouldnt be surprised if this was real
