new lifes are symmetrical.. they don't have any early taper like the ep's i think(?) new lifes are also stiffer than the eps.. both would be really awesome skis
though i've ridden the ep's a bit, they are super fun.. i haven't got a
chance to ride the new lifes but i really want to they look sick...i
felt them the other day and they seemed super light too..

I doubt anybody will have skied both yet but from what i understand the new life is stiffer than the ep, it is symetrical and i want it a lot. Surface is the best company out, they have amazing customer service, they really care about skiing and they also really care about their customers. If i were you I would definetly go for the new lifes.

some more information would be nice. such as what you are looking for in a ski, height, weight, skiing ability??

The ep pros have neon orange on the bases, so they'll be easier to find when you lose a ski from bailing off a cliff! AND they're damn sexy! But so are the surfaces

*thread jack* sorry brah,
im up to the same decision. im 6 foot tall and weigh 155 pounds. would eps be too soft? or both skis too short?
also, is the rocker of the skis about the same height and length? are the skis the same weight-about?
which ski do u guys think floats better? is more playful and fun on and off piste?
thx in advance, i know its alot of questions, but its a difficult decision, consuming alot of my savings.
peace

quick question, regarding stiffness of the surfaces. are they significantly stiffer than hellbents? i know bents are noodly, but stiffer than EP's, so im just trying to find the right balance for me

EP Pros have a lot more rocker, and are a LOT softer. I've looked at the new lifes in person, and they are sooooo sick. They seemed quite a bit longer than the EPs, and overall just like such a sick ski. They say they are a full reverse camber, but in person, there is a flat spot underfoot. In comparing the New Lifes to other Surface, the rocker is a lot more subtle than the LL2's or One Lifes. Go Surface.

at your weight, ep pros should be not too soft. and wouldnt be too short.
i dont know a ton about the new life, so i dont wanna say much about it, but im pretty sure ep pros have more rocker and will float better, being so soft. and if you like to butter a lot ep pros will be fun. ive heard many great things about the EP's. not a lot about the new lifes. hope that helps
