Crested Butte

I'm a kiwi and im planning on coming over to USA for the 09.10 season. I've been offered a job at Crested Butte, but i don't really know anything about it. I've heard that its got big snowfall and gnarly terrain, and thats about it. Hows the town? Does it have a good vibe? Is there any night life to speak of? Is the park any good? I know its not going to be like breck, but as long as its got some fun jibs and some decent sized jumps thats all good.I'll probably only ski it when theres not new snow. I've also got a potential job offer in Copper and Big Sky, but people tell me CB's a better mtn. I'm after something which is overall pretty good, not awesome in one area and nowhere else.

the towns got a good vibe. but of all the ski towns in colorado i think that telluride is the best

the town is really small but its got a super cool vibe. Not that it matters but matchstick and two plank productions are based out of there. the town does know how to party. Another good thing is there are a heck of alot more core skiers there as oppose to breck where there are posers everywhere. no hate on breck cause i love it there to. CB is just a core Colorado ski town the way it should be. You still have your snobby rich people on occasion but for the most part its cool.

IMO silverthorne rapes. You're close to 5 big resorts all with different advantages, and you have things to do other then skiing too

ive never been there in the winter but its def super sick in the summer. dont they close a lot of those passes in the winter'? how are you near 5 resorts?

Yeah this year for internationals its going to be much harder to get a job at the resorts around Silverthon which is why i applied at CB

Crusty Butt is a way chill town.  Cool vibe like others have said.  good snow and good chill good beer bars.  Pretty girls, you just have to look.

ive seen some damn hot chicks there, super cool place. i like the fact that its in a basin you can easily see the ski basin from anywhere you are.
