Goggle Dying Tutorial

did mine today, everyone can check the pics on my profile if interested, ill put them in the thread later. i tried to dye them black but they ended up purple, doesnt look too back though

Bleach them first and then dye them, I tried it and it looks sick, just I used brown to bleached to yellow

For those of you that have bleached your fames, did it effect the color of your foam at all?  I'm assuming you use the Rit Color Remover and it works just as the dye would but in reverse, but not sure about that.  Any info would be great

2 packs of black rit dye turned my goggles purple in 1.8L of water... WTF. I tried with one pack and that didn't work so tried to with even less water on separate occasions and still same collie...

that's your problem.
the silver tint is what's making them look blue.

at least that'd be my guess.

a few questions here..
did the black turn out matte black or like a shiny black?
why doesnt the plastic start to melt is that ever a problem?
and when u are rinsing them in cold water do i squeeze all of the die or as much as i can out of the foam and was off the die on the actualy goggle?

if you have white frames they'll dye well to almost any color, even black.

it's where there are other colors in there that causes the problem. at least in my experience.
