there's already one thread on this, but it had one post and therefore gargled my balls.

anywho, i went and saw the film last night and it was epic. quentin tarentino at his finest. the cast was perfect, brad pitt had you laughing the whole time, and the wow factor was nothing short of a ten.

what did everyone else think?

that movie was nothing short of jizz in your pants amazing.  but it was soooooooooooo fucking long, but in the long span of amazingness, i never lost concentration because it kept you away with everything going on.   16 out of 10 on this movie.

i thought it was really good. However some parts just dragged on and it got pretty annoying reading subtitles for half the movie. But overall i liked it a lot.

District 9 was a much better film. I've never been a big fan of Quentin Tarantino. Just my opinion don't burn me at the stake.

Saw it just now. Hated Brad Pitt just like i thought i would. The rest of it was pretty solid though.

7.5-8/10. Not Tarantino's best.

Are you kidding me?  District 9 sucked fucking dick compared to this movie, district 9 felt like a 10 year old wrote it, it was ridiculous, and super fucking predictable.  Inglorious Basterds was written so fucking well, I had no idea what to expect the entire movie, and the dialogue was the fucking best I've seen in years.

I think it was good but the trailers made it seem like there was going to be more action. The action was good, but there were some really slow points where its just building suspense and the characters. Ending was sweet too. Overall it was good just don't expect a massive blood bath the whole movie, didn't like it as much as a lot of his other movies.

A+++  I've been following progress on Inglourious Basterds since Kill Bill came out.  I remeber reading at one point a couple years ago that he had a 4 1/2 hour screenplay and that Michael Madesn was supposed to be in it.  I was shocked to find out that even after that much anticipation, I wasn't disappointed at all.

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

I loved the Theater scene at the end.  It was so damn satisfying because you NEVER get to see that happen in a WWII movie, even though everybody really just wants to see the basterds get what was coming to them.  I can just see Tarantino crossing his arms and saying, "Well, that's how it SHOULD have happened."

And Hugo Stiglitz?? Fucking Hugo Stiglitz.

District 9 had a coherent story line. The only reason you say it was written by a 10 year old was because ten year olds dont usually shoot up heroin before they write scripts for movies. I would compare this film to an epileptic fetus having a seizure on screen ... except less entertaining.

It was a really good movie, like people said it was really long but it never got boring.
i had to sit in the very front row so i missed half of the dialogue because i couldnt get my head moving that fast.

saw it last night and it was fuckin amazing. i laughed the whole way through and had a huge grin on my face for about an hour afterward. wasn't even high, it was just that awesome.

This is exactly what I said. One of the better movies I've seen in a long time. Everything about it was just done so well, the fact that it wasnt a bloodbath the entire time was why I liked it a lot more than I thought I would going into it.

Dialogue was unbelievable, full of suspense, I was on the edge of my seat the entire second half of the movie. Not once did it feel too long or like I was getting bored.

To me , it would be really interesting to know how old the people are who liked D9 more. It was still a very entertaining movie, but as far as I'm concerned not even on the same level as Inglorious Bastereds.

i liked D9 more (i'm 17), but it's a completely different kind of movie so i wouldn't even bother comparing the two. in fact, i can't see myself comparing any movie to a tarantino flick. i mean, you don't walk into D9 expecting to see a tarantino movie, and you don't walk into Basterds expecting to see a blomkamp movie. it would be like trying to compare a ski movie to an opera, it just wouldn't make sense.

WAY better than district 9, don't even compare the two lol. i dont know how tarantino did it, but i could actually feel the tension in those scenes, the movie just pulls you in. district 9, i couldnt give a shit when his life got flushed away. this movies just on another level. in most movies, i'm aware of the fact the character's an actor, but i never thought about that the whole movie. brad pitt killed it, the dialogue's sick, and they definitely didn't cut any violence. if you can't read decently fast though, you're gonna miss alot of the movie. [sort of spoiler] the ending's sick, i thought one thing was gonna happen, then something equally sick happened, which might actually have been better than what i thought was going to happen. AND hitler get's smoked...what other movie this epic, has hitler getting killed? thats what i thought...

Just saw it. I loved it. Seemed like Tarantino wanted to show he could do suspense well (and he succeeded). The first scene was sooo good.

And obviously all the basterds action was epic. Stiglitz was unbelieveable...And the scene in the tavern was so tense and awesome.

The ending was ridiculously badass too.

holy shit that was the best movie i swear to god, im still remembering it and freaking out about the awesomeness of everything.  Brad Pitt pissed me off a bit, but he always does, the movie made up for everything that he ruined. awesome twist at the end

Just got back from movie. best movie ive seen all year. brad pitt was halarious. so many funny scenes and good action. my only complaint was there shouldve been more of the bastards. overall great.

I'm really surprised how many people liked it.  The film is slow, long, and drags.  I mean, that is the entire point of the movie, but most people aren't going to understand that.  It was ridiculously self indulgent and had a ton of little things in it that you have to be a spaghetti western, blaxploitation, or old war movie fan to understand.  It felt like Tarantino was finally getting out all the references and atmospheric nuances towards Sergio Leon's work that he hasn't been able to before.  I wasn't surprised when the times gave it a bad review.  He made this movie for himself basically, not for an audience or for reviewers.

I did think it was fantastic though, although some of the acting was a little sub par.  Brad Pitt and the guy who played the bad guy were fucking incredible though.

Oh and he still hasn't made one better than Reservoir Dogs.

I think if you liked Reservoir Dogs you'll like it, but for me..............meh

There were some great scenes in the movie, but in whole I don't think it came together.

yeah, it was a fantastic movie, the combination of humor and violence made me feel a bit morbid though, i couldn't tell when it was appropriate to laugh at some points...

the movie was good but they dragged some scenes on too long. i would of liked it much more if some parts werent so slow.
