What should I expect besides far too much math?

Emphasis on Catalysis and Reactionary Engineering, as well as Biomolecular Engineering.

Is my life going to suck?

Chemistry was my least favorite subject of college. Watch out for organic chemistry too, it's a class designed to weed out the chemists from the normal people. I know a lot of people who moved around from chem majors after that class.

my dad's a chemical engineer, and he loved every class he took. He's really smart tho, so most of the stuff you will do is demanding. Good luck tho, looking to do mechanical or aerospace engineering myself

starting mechanical engineering monday, pumped for it, but I may choose to do electrical as the air force will give me an ROTC slot for it

I've already gone through organic. I tested into it freshmen year, but now I have Thermodynamics and Chem Engineering elective labs I have to go for. Extremely nervous.

Thermo is hit or miss, I would be prepared for a test and bomb it, and then I wouldn't know anything for the next one and ace it. It's a lot of confusing topics with completely new variables that aren't easy to understand. I pretty much completely forgot the difference between enthalpy and entropy by now. The thing about engineering is that they really want you to do well, if you have any brains you can get through it, just use resources like office hours and TA's etc.
