Freeski bindings?

Hey guys, i'm getting the line afterbangs and i'm looking for a good binding, ill be riding park mostly with some pow here and there.

Would one of these bindings be good?

those are what i have on my afterbangs and had on my old ninths, work great...

those marker griffons which would work great too

I always recommend Tyrolia Peak 15s and 18s, they are my favorite bindings.  Second is solly S914s/S912s/914 Labs and STH 16s(not STH 14s or 12s, they have shit z toe) and third is FKS 155/185.  I don't like Markers(Jesters, M series, whatever) or Look P or PX series.

Skiing pow with afterbangs? Wat?

Not that you can't ski any ski in any condition and not everybody can afford more than one ski, but haven't you considered something a little more all mountain if you're riding pow+ park.

Unless my understanding is wrong here, and you'll be riding pow like twice, and park like 98% of the time. If so, good choice i think.

umm there were a lot of tele bindings in that search result, you probably don't want those unless you're a tele skier

don't get markers that aren't jesters, griffons are maybe okay if you're really light and don't ski hard

most salomons are good

look px series will do fine

tyrollia is pretty good too

the afterbangs will do fine in pow, theyre not too heavy and their not thin, im not doing like 50/50 but ill probably be skiing pow like 10% of the time.

i really wouldn't recommend afterbangs as a 50/50 ski, they'll be great in the park and suck everywhere else, so 50% of your riding will be compromised by getting a park specific ski

not trying to rain on the afterbang parade but i think you should consider a more versatile ski if you're skiing 50/50

also fwiw weight makes zero difference in the pow, it's not like a heavy ski will instantly sink to the bottom of the pow. i always prefer lighter skis but that's because i do a lot of touring and it makes a massive difference there and it can also change swing weight in the park but for pow and groomer skiing it's really not an issue

Exactly.  For 50/50 skis I would say 105+ waist for sure.  I would also say get about a 185 since short skis sacrifice all mountain skiing alot IMO.  I think that around 110 waisted, slightly rockered(as in somewhat long and low profile rocker) skis make the best all around skis(nincluding park).  191 Shoguns, 186 or 191 2010 Gots, 189 LL1s(pm surface and SP to see if you can get a steal price) would all make great 50/50 skis.

well for 50/50 105 can be a little excessive, i'm all about fat skis but 105 in the park will feel like a lot for most people

i don't know much about this since i don't deal with park skis but maybe line blend for the fatter side, volkl bridge, chronics, reno jib, idk, something somewhat girthy, definitely not symmetrical, and that's made to be an all mtn ski

everyone hats on solly z12s and sth 12s i used z12 last year and beat the hell out of them and liked them more then other look/rossie p series pindings, just bought sth12's and i cant imagine them being bad despite everyones reviews

OK Mr. Grumpy.  I recommend Kung Fujas 09, in your preferred length(take labeled length and add 5.5cm to get the length along the base).  They are not overly fat, and they will butter amazingly, and do better on jumps than A Bangs.  I truely don't understand what the point of symmetrical skis is..(and before riding any, I thought they would be great..Now I know).  Thalls are a great jib ski(get them over A Bangs for sure) yet they have a 1cm wider tip than tail.  They also ski switch fine =O =O .  putting the skinniest part of the ski under boot center is retarded, even for switch skiing it should be about where the ball of your foot is.  Oh, I also think that even jib skis should have a softer nose than tail.
