i have been diagnosed with leukemia

So for the past few weeks, i havent been feeling well, really week and everything. so we go to the doctor, and he suspects mono. after they ran some tests at the blood lab it turns out i have leukemia, and could potentially die from it in a couple of years or less. leukemia is cancer of the blood, and its really scary knowing that the end is that near, i dont know what im going to do. has anybody else here ever been diagnosed with this and made it??

dude you can make it...its all about the way that you look at it. many cancer patients have cured their diseases just with the power of suggestion. read this...

'One of Dr. Klopfer's patients had lymphosarcoma, a generalized far-advanced malignancy involving the lymph nodes. The patient had huge tumor masses throughout his body and was in such desperate physical condition that he frequently had to take oxygen by mask, and fluid had to be removed from his chest every two days. When the patient discovered that Dr. Klopfer was involved in research on Krebiozen, he begged to be given Krebiozen treatments. Dr Klopfer did so, and the patient’s recovery was startling. Within a short time the tumors had shrunk dramatically and the patient was able to resume a normal life, including flying a private plane.

Then as AMA and FDA reports of the negative results of Krebiozen started being publicized, the patient took a dramatic turn to the worse. Thinking the circumstances extreme enough to justify unusual measures, Klopfer, told his patient that he obtained a new, super-refined, double-strength Krebiozen, that would produce better results. Actually, the injections Klopfer gave were simply sterile water.. Yet the patient’s recovery was even more remarkable.. Once again the tumor masses melted, chest fluid vanished, and he became ambulatory and went back to flying. The patient remained symptoms-free for two months. The patient’s belief alone, independent of the value of the medication, produced his recovery.'

once the patient found out that the treatment that he had recieved was just sterile water being injected into him, his tumors re-formed and he passed away a few days later

sorry to hear that dude, my grandma died from cancer in the summer, most terrible disease, i hope you get through it and survive, and i only got one wise thing for you to do and thats go do some crazy shit like sky dive or anything extreme that will mget your adrenaline pumping so youll forget about it, alot of it is pshychylogical, i believe it is anyways

8 years ago my guidance councelor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in a pretty serious stage. The doctor told her she had 6 months to two years to live. She died three weeks ago - 8 years from the date she was diagnosed. During that time period the cancer got malignant (spreading to other organs and tissues) and ended up in her liver which is what killed her. But the key thing was during that entire time, she stayed strong and believed that she could make it. She had two sons and she wanted to see them graduate high school and even to see them get married. Unfortunately she wasn't able to hold on long enough to see them get married but she worked the whole time because she loved her job and she just loved life and she didn't listen to the doctor when he said she had so short to live. She wanted to live and that's what kept her going. Good luck, buddy!

when it spreads thats when it gets bad, my grandma had lung cancer then it had spread to her liver, stomach and kidneys, when she died they said one of her lungs was completely deteriorated and the other one was almost there but filled with water, i can still hear those gasping for air sounds seconds before she died

i just got in from dinner at a restaurant where they have one of those donation boxes for lukemia research. without even thinking about it, i put all my spare change in the box. i hope somewhere down the line my money makes a difference for somebody. i know if i had lukemia id pound a couple bulls and go ski some powder. actually, im going to go make plans to ski some powder right now. life is short. ski like a motherfucker.

hey! im so sorry to hear that! keep skiing! seriously, its your outlet and let it keep you happy. the other suggestion i have is to read Lance Armstrong's books 'it's not about the bike' and 'every second counts' they're VERY inspirational books and i think it'd be good for you because even tho its a different kind of cancer you're talking to someone who's actually fought the battle. so definitly, read those, i think you'll love it. my grandma died of cancer about 5 years ago. It was her third round of it and she had already lost half a lung, had two brain tumors removed, survived an 106 fever for a extended period. Her first diagnosis was almost 25 years ago adn there were periods where her doctors said that she wouldn't live 48 hours but she proved thme wrong almost ever time. I think one of the keys was that she never realy admitted she was sick. She always acted like she was one of the girls and tried to keep life noraml and positive, even when she was in the hospital. I really hope you pull through, you can definetly make it.

my grandpa had stomach cancer. he had to get his stomach removed and shit but he remained positive. to this day he is cancer free and healthy as ever. keep fightin man, its all mental

good luck to your cousin and it can be beat.It's not leukemia, but my mom was diagnosed w/ breast cancer 3.5 yrs ago and after a couple years of treatment,surgery,etc they said she was cancer free........just do whatever you can to try to keep your cuz in a positive state of mind.

Here's a sugestion of something you could do for your cousin ,if you like :
Do a search on google for books written by young people who have been diagnosed w/ leukemia and have beaten it recovered, and are now living happy healthy lives. There has to be afew people who've done that and written about it.Anyways, Find a good book like that ,buy it and give it to him.Reading that stuff can help w/positive attitude.

im sooo incredibly sorry to hear that. try to do the things you love to do the most, thas what my mom did after she got diagnosed wit breast cancer. it was hard for me cuz i was pretty little and had no idea it could kill somebody. but just think your DEFINITELY gonna survive and never doubt that you wont. cuz if you do, thas when things start to head down to the shit hole.
