From what I understand with shopatron, you have to have a discount code from the dealer. Shopatron isn't a store, it's just a system that combines all the stores selling one product - for example, if you buy anthems through shopatorn they go through their database and see which local ski shop/distributor has them closest to you, then the shop ships them to you and shopatron gives them the money. It's pretty confusing, but because it's like this you would have to have a discount code from Line directly because most likely Line would have to reimburse the ski shop for that discount. I'm not sure if that's 100% correct, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Seems like a real stupid system, but I guess it saves LINE/K2 from needing a warehouse. I guess it is good so if you need skis real quick it should be like a day with ground shipping, otherwise, it seems to be an obnoxious system for shop owners who do not like to ship stuff or sell online.

if you dont want to ship/sell online, you can choose not to be a part, but you do get additional discounting if u dont want to be a part. its an awesome system for the industry, as it allows shops to take more chances on product as well as have more inventory (we do a TON of thule stuff off shopatron) without a huge actual risk. for the company, its a no brainer, they make more upfront (as they arent rolling the dice on sitting on product) and everyone feels involved.

actually a lot of companies are starting to use it, I first dealt with it with Amplid, then Spy, but what was cool was that I could track both my skis and goggles at the same time. I know that Armada is also using this system. I agree, it must be the biggest pain in the ass, but it's the bet way to ensure you get the product you want as fast as you want. I got my Spy Zeds literally the next day but paid for 5 day shipping, it was pretty nice.

shopatron question: if I ordered something off Line's site and it was shipped by some random ski shop, what do I do if it was the wrong size and I need to return it? I contact the shop that shipped it, not Line, right?

it tells you how to return it on the invoice. It depends on where it came from cause all shops have slightly different return policies. But since it comes from a shop you'll get their invoice and on the back are the return instructions.
