Some of my stuff from my school band is online I think. I could try and find it if you guys want but it's pretty weak. Our band teacher tended to show up one day near the end of the year and tell us we were recording out of the blue then chose his favourite songs rather than the ones we had a good handle on.
last week i made up this piano intro for my band and it is sooooo jazzy. i have a question for you as well. i want to get into some more jazz and i would like to know some really cool jazz groups. can you give me some please?
The Chicken- Jaco Pastorius (especially the Aurex '82 and Birthday recordings)
Now's the Time- Charlie Parker
Blue Train- John Coltrane
Take Five- Dave Brubeck
Milestones- Miles Davis
Five Months from Midnight- Michael Brecker
Count Bubba- Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band
Take the A Train- Duke Ellington
Harlem Nocturne- Earle Hagen
Oleo- Sonny Rollins
Night in Tunisia- Dizzy Gillespie
Just a small list to get you started. Classics with a some newer stuff thrown in. Finding these songs (youtube, itunes, etc.) will bring up many other songs that you may or may not like.
