the small amount of respect i still had for favre after retiring the second time is completely gone. such a great quarterback completely tarnishing his legacy. only way i will take back these words is if he wins the superbowl with the vikes

This man has gone from my favorite football player (in 2nd grade mind you) to one of my most despised.

This was literally two straight summers of all Brett Favre news. I feel terrible for Rachel Nichols who spent her entire fucking summer in some Mississippi town talking about whether or not Favre will play again.

This is the sports equivalent to Michael Jackson's death. Actually no, because they pretty much stopped talking about the death after a few weeks...

haha go ahead and take him and all the media hype and obnoxious rumors that surround him. odds are he'll either get injured or not be productive. no matter what his (now) vikings teammates say i'd be willing to bet they're fed up with him after how drawn out the whole process was to sign him

The vikings are stacked this year.  We got a great defence with the williams wall, jared allen, and antoine winfield. For rushing we're top of the league with adrian peterson and chester taylor. We got receivers, and finally a quarterback that can throw to them!!

New coach, new team, new team mates, new playing style.  I really don't think it's fair to say he'll play like he did for the Jets... The Packers and Vikings play a similar system, which in turn should make Favre more comfortable.  Plus, Favres old QB coach from the Packers is the vikings offensive coordinator.  It's a whole new game, and Favre is much better suited to be playing for the Vikings then he was for the Jets.  He has a real chance with the Vikings.

First off, Brett Favre is going to turn 40 in the beginning of the season, this will be his 18TH season in the NFL.

Brett Favre will not be able to play good for 16 games, for all who are hoping a superbowl season that could be 19 games, no way a 40 year old man who has been taking ridiculous punishment for 18 seasons does not have the physical stamina to withstand the beating all quarterbacks get. He isnt gonna have the same throw power same perfomance or same strength, it all happens with age no matter how hard you train...

Are you fucking kidding... there defence is stacked they have the williams bros, antoine winfield, jared allen, chad greenway, and more. For recievers they have benard berrian, visante shainco, sydney rice and bobby wade. I don't know what you are talking about mistir!

umm... I'm pretty sure that the vikings are ranked #1!!!! right now in overall defence, and last year we were ranked #1 in rushing defence.

We have recievers, not to mention Percy Harvin, who we just drafted.
