Any east coast surfers?

im in jersey and hurricane bill is looking really good right now.. some sights are even saying double to triple overhead because of the long swell period... anyone else stoked for this?

Just gona enlighten you on something, hes definatly a kook but its not impossible to drop in on a big board on big waves, infact alot of big wave guns are around 9ft, also, the first big wave pioneers used 11 ft boards made out of wood to surf boms at pipeline and waimea. Watch

I'll be at whatever beach isn't closed in Scarborough tomorrow but sadly I can't surf. Hopefully there will be some surfers I can watch. I'll be there with my nikon snapping pics of the epic surf though.

was at Higgins Beach in Scarborough Maine today. Waves were a good 10-11 feet. There was 3 or 4 surfers out there actually attempting to catch waves, I guess they just weren't used to it. In the 4 hours I was there a couple surfers stood up and then on this huge wave probably one of the biggest of the afternoon, this surfer got really luck and caught the wave at the right time, surfed a good 11 footer into the beach, everyone was cheering. It was certiantly too big for me though.

i surfed it was so crazy deff some of the biggest waves i have ever seen on the east coast!!! i was having flashbacks to being in hawaii

i made a thread about it yesterday thanking bill because i didn't see this one lol. But yea it was pretty epic on saturday in va beach. this morning i went out again around 5:40 am to surf as the sun came up...

was an amazing experience

have some cam footage i might try to throw together in an edit if i can figure out how to edit

by the way peeps, thanks to all who supported me. i KILLED IT!!!! haha, not really, it was extremely hard, but i had a lot of fun, stood up a bunch, definitely started a new habit...

it was pretty heavy at Gooch's beach in Kennebunk today. I ended up surfing a more sheltered area near Timber Island and caught some good waves, but it was pretty rough on my shoulder. Goochs ended up getting closed down because the tide was so high and the waves were breaking right over the beach wall. Managed to get some ok pictures with my mom's shitty digital camera

before it started getting huge

Beaches were closed for most of the day today in york, and i didn't get time to go surfing. But i went swimming down at the beach when it opened up in the afternoon, and just being out there with some huge ones breaking overhead was a lot of fun. There was a nasty rip current tho, and you just watched people get sucked out really far and then have to fight their way back in.

long island report: it was obviously smaller than forecasted since Big Bill got tired of sightseeing the US coastline, but still definately bigger than most days.  tumultuous would be a good word to describe the conditions on the inside because of the power and chop from the whitewash, but occasional clean sets rolled through looking at 3-4 feet over.  i could've surfed but boogied cause i saw how it was closing out, and decided to have more fun getting worked in tubes on a sponge than taking hard drops into 2 second rides surfing.  it was a fun day, but not what most were hoping for, im really just looking forward to tomorrow when it's hopefully cleaned up and chest to head so i can surf.

I went out a couple days ago last day of the  real intesnse shit and it was epic. so much work staying in the right place though.
