Surface skis

Alright, So I'm thinking of getting a pair of surface Watchlifes but they only come in 180 and 170
right now I ski on 176 which is a good length I think. Im about 5'10 5'11 150lbs
Do you think the 170's would be too short for me/ the 180's too long. I'm really unimpulsive when it comes to buying skis.
Please help me out.

if you can handle 176's you will be fine on 180's...i can barley tell the difference.. so probably go with the 180's you are big enough im like 5'9 and 120..180's are easy to handle

agreed, go 180 of the two. 

What is the flex like on WLs?  I get mixed answers..  I am 160lbs and getting the 170s(Peter this is because I have 181 PIpe Cleaners so I felt like having a short park ski too, get 180s).  Do you think I will be able to easily butter 08 170s at 160lbs that have already broken in?  thanks

08/09 are so so so soft well atleast mine....i think  you can butter them no matter what you weigh.. i got mine used so im not sure if they are super soft from day one though

sickk, these are used too and I can't imagine them softening up a ski from 08 to 09.  was there any change at all?  Now I am really stuck between these and Punx damnit..

i have had this same problem i have some 4 frnt vct 175 that i got for this season and i am think about a park ski so im looking at the watch life but im 5.8' so i cant decide between the 180 and the 170 any suggestions

I think you should get 180s, your pretty tall they will be just right for you, also the turning radius is fairly tight on the WLs so that should help with any problem you think a slighly longer ski may give you. And remember, it is only a slight difference from your current skis, 4cm, look a that on a ruler.

Peter are you on 176 Pipe Cleaners?  Cause they measure more like 179 along the base(Armada measure there park skis like K2 does).  I measured my 189 LL2s along the base and they were about 188(so Surface does not measure tip to tip, they measure before press).  That means the length change will no be noticable from 176 PCs to 180 WLs, and the WLs might ski shorter.
