Center Mounting?

Well last season I rode some Scratch Ghetto's, 181, and I really liked them.  They were just slightly too stiff but almost perfect flex, not much chatter, super stable on landing, etc, I really like them.  However, I mounted them at -4 because thats as close to center as you can get without voiding the warranty, flex pattern isn't approved to mount closer than that or something.  Well, I ended up doing more rails and less big jumps than I was expecting and found myself really wanting center mount.  I also sort of want more flex.

So, do I

a) Sell the skis and bindings to a friend for $250 (only paid like $350), get one of last year's skis at outlet price and outlet some bindings and just do a new set up?

b) Remount the Ghetto's at center (will they hold up fine?) and risk breaking them and having to straight up buy new skis?

c) Just stick with what I have because center mount won't really make that much of a difference?

I haven't ridden skis center mounted before, is there even that big of a difference between -4 and true center?  Am I even really going to notice it?

Only problem is probably can't sell my skis till october and by then all the outlet skis will be sold out of 181's probably.

why cant you sell until october, or is ur friend a Garunteed buy on the skis? if so pick up some uoutlet then just get the 250 later

have some one loan you money and buy the skis now then sell the other skis and pay them back

Well its going to be his first season, he's probably like 80% going to buy them but there is still a chance he'll drop out.  I did just win $200 at the casino last night though so I could blow some money right now.  Anyone got a link to a good pair of skis for under $300 that they still have in 177 or 181?  Wanted last year's Chronics but could only find them now in 150 something.

If it were me i would remount. You will save a lot of time and money and in no way compromise the durability of the ski. Ive never heard of voiding warranty but now youve already got a years worth of rails on them so it sounds like youve voided that long ago. A remount will cost 30 bucks or so, completely change the way the ski feels (for the better) and the old holes will plug and be nowhere close to the new holes...

Well yeah that was my first plan but supposedly the way the flex pattern is on the Ghetto's makes them not supposed to be center mounted.

Has anybody center mounted skis that you weren't supposed to and have everything work fine?  Because this would be by far the easiest choice.

Theres a few center mount park skis in there, invaders, anthems, disorderlys. But I don't think any of them come in a size you would want.

sell the ghettos.  The only good Rossi park ski is the S4(ghetto's aren't the older S4 I don't think, might be wrong though).  Keep an eye out here for a few days.  Unless you are jibbing alot, mount -1.5 or 2 for best jump and pipe performance imo(unless the ski you get in symmetrical).

I have center mounted '08 dumonts, '08 t-halls, and '09 ep's and I feel like the dumont rides a lil better, the t-hall's tail is a lil stiff, and the ep was skiing so much better than a pair i demoed at recommended (-2)

The ghettos are the S4.  And go to center.  My friend has ghettos mounted center and he loves them.  That is a bunch of crap about voiding the warranty and messing up the flex pattern.  I don't know why people mount at -1 or -2 because if you are going to go that far forward go all the way.  Center is the only way to go.
