Painting Bindings

Nobody given this a try?

you would need some high quality paits for it to not look ghetto...

even then the paint will chip away quickly, IMO a waste of time

I used rustoleum spray paint to paint the toe wings and dildo heel piece on my px 12's.  I don't have pics because they are at my house and the next time I will be there is November.  I have not used them yet but I think they will stay nice and painted for the most part.  The heel piece on the px 12 has a removeable cover so I took it off and spray painted it but you wopuld have to get creative to tape off parts  that you don't want painted.  On teh toe, I took pieces of paper and taped them onto the binding so only the toe wings were exposed.  That took some time.  Mine came out sick and I wish I had pictures.  I painted them a green to match my 07 invaders. 

I wonder if it is possible to dye the removable heel piece?

I wonder how those will hold up.  Obviously I will have to use high quality paint, what a genius result from above you :)

i would think that it would hold up pretty good with just a few coats on there. im sure it wouldnt hurt to go over the spots you want to paint with a fine sandpaper, it will let the paint grip the binding easier and chip less. or you could also go over it with a protective enamel spray when you are finished, just for a little more protection.

Is there any way to remove the plastic gold pieces on the FKS?  I'm looking at them but I don't want to break a piece trying.

Haha I don't know how mine will hold up, they are my beater skis so I did it for fun.  I did a couple coats and after it dried it wasn't tacky at all and didn't seem like it would chip off.  You probably could dye the heel piece cover, mine were a clearish sparkly color so I'm sure dying them would have been alot better. 

So I painted some of the easier parts and they came out pretty nicely.  I'm going to put them on some Billy Goats, so I am toying with the idea of matching the currently gold part of the heels with a blue similar to that on the BG.  That or black, haven't decided yet.  I have a lot of tape to lay first.
