Oil shit from the wheels on a chairlift

WHAT THE HELL? So I am riding up the chairlift at the outback at Moonstone and all of a sudden some black shit falls on me when we go by one of the towers! It stained my damn jacket and now I have this black stuff all over it and I can't get it off! Same thing happened at Big White and at Panorama, something must be done....

I cleaned it after I got home from skiing but it was already set. I tried lots of products then washed it, still there. Its ok now, but I really liked that hat!

Wow you guys are sooo over reacting. It's not like it's a big suprise every ski area in teh US (that I've been to atleast) has a big sing saying to watch out for oil and stuff. And on top of that do you really care what you look like that much?!? A black spot isn't going to effect your skiing at all, just leave it...

heres how to get rid of stains....
take a big big big bucket. then fill it with some water like 2/3 of the way. then take the stained piece of clothing, and put ketchup, coke, and any other highly stainable stuff and realllyyyyy scrub it in there. now, drop the piece of clothing into the bucket, take a scoop of OXY-CLEAN, and VOILA!!! all the stains are gone.
i saw it on tv, and the guy who was advertising it was nuts, so it had to be real. he also had a cool striped shirt.

its the rubber eroding off the shivs when its wet, happens alot in spring after a snow, when it warms up.. its a bummer- gotta be a way the resorts can deflect it somehow.. that would be nice.

yeah dude mt. bachelor lifts do that too it sucks i had jst gotten a new white jacket and the shit dripped all over it. i was soo pissed, but then bachelor washes it out for free and re waterproofed my jacket so it was all good but yeah it still sucked

i know some people who that happened to at smuggs vt, and they ended up getting reimbursed for new clothes. i guess there is a waterproof grease and then there is cheap stuff that drips, smuggs admitted they used the cheap stuff and people got some new gear out of it.
