please dont even open your mouth. the dolphins were a joke of a football team last year. the only reason why they won the afc east (they finished with the same fucking record and we didnt have a fucking QB last season by the way) is because they finished last in the division the season before, which means they played all the last place teams last year. thats how nfl scheduling works. also, they pulled the wildfag offense out of nowhere and caught everyone by surprise. now everyone knows how to stop the wildfag and now theyre screwed

no no no no, before you go stating false facts look at the records. the steelers were never a bad team except in like the 1930's. steelers have been wrecking shit since the 70's and as far as im concerned there are no band wagon steelers fans, the steelers have the most die hard fans and sell out every game for the past 30 years and a amazingly long waiting list for the season tickets. In pittsburgh your a steeler fan for life, thats just how people are raised here, to love the steelers

did you ever see the Florida State Seminole teams of the early 90s?  54 game winning streak at home.  they could hold their own against probably the Lions for like a quarter.  i thought i posted that but i guess i didnt.

so you are telling me that people i know who were Bucs fans, or, 49er fans that watched EVERY game those people played who then jumped to wearing Steelers stuff the day after Super Bowl XL ARENT bandwagon jumpers?  those are the types im talking about.  the kind that were like "omfg, the BUCS ARE SO AWESOME!!!!" then go to wearing Steelers colors and im like "dude, i thought you were a Bucs fan" "NAH MAN!!!!  IVE BEEN A STEELER FAN MY WHOLE LIFE"   BBBBUUULLLLshit.

they run the wildcat way more than 2 plays per game....

they had the easiest schedule ever last year. playing the nfc west, (lost the the cards btw) and the afc west... both of the shittiest divisions in the nfl (every afc east team played those divisions). they also played the bengals and the jaguars i believe, who are also bottom feeders. pretty much the only tough games they had were the cardinals pats, pats again, colts, and titans. did you even watch the playoffs? they looked like a joke compared to the ravens, who werent even close to the top of the league. how can you seriously expect them this year, with a tough tough schedule, to win the division "handily" against a pats team with tom brady back? are you mentally ill?

you already said that. learn to read. go a page back or something. i can beat up 54 midgets in 54 consecutive weeks but i cant beat up tom brady. just because the yankees have 26 world series wins does not mean they can beat a team of albert pujolses and josh becketts. how many of the fsu players from those teams got drafted? maybe a few every year, but guess what, theres 22 starters. every single detroit lion is good enough to play in the nfl. not every fsu player was that good. you clearly know nothing about football if you think the fsu seminoles could stand the slightest chance against the lions. calvin johnson alone would fuck em up

are you retarded or something? maybe you should just stop posting in this thread. the steelers are the best team in nfl history. this bald guy named terry bradshaw who is on fox sometimes because you clearly dont know nfl history, won 4 superbowls in 6 years. educate yourself. dont make me say it again. in 01 the steelers finished 13-3 and were beat by the pats in the afc champ game. then in 02 the steelers finished 10-5-1 i believe because they tied the falcons in a game that year. in 04 the steelers were 15-1 and the 1 seed in the afc with the best record in the nfl. you clearly have no idea what youre talking about. oh by the way, all that was from memory :)

um, i was talking about the team themselves in that post dude.  i was talking about idiots who jumped on the steeler bandwagon after they won super bowl XL, i realize how fucking crazy good they were during Terry Bradshaw, the Steel Curtain, and Mean Joe Green's era.  for chrst sake they have a whole fucking wing of the NFL Hall of Fame to themselves.  im not denying how good they are.  what pisses me off is people that jumped on the Steeler fan thing like they were lifelong Steeler fans after Super Bowl XL.  people that would worship the groun Tom Brady and Peyton Manning walked on and acted like they were Gods and could never lose were suddenly "life long" Steeler fans after Super Bowl XL.  you need to calm down and re-read what you quoted.  im not badmouthing the Steelers team in any way in the post you quoted.  im badmouthing douchebag fans that suddenly became life long fans after their Super Bowl XL win.

BUT, being a Packers fan im not a huge fan of the Steelers.  though the Packers when they played the Bears and the Steelers way back when it was always epic games.

no, that i can understand.  everyone in pitt is a steeler fan.  just like everyone in minneapolis except the rare import from another city is a viking fan...  im talking out west where i am, like west of the Mississippi...  seattle, portland, spokane...  the dirty liberal hippies out here that jump from the Pats wagon, to the Steelers, to the Broncos, back to the Pats, and once again to the Steelers.....  so fucking annoying.

Football is the most boring sport in the world. A game where you only do something for 10 sec. then stop and start over from a new spot is simply just sad and boring. Any "sport" where a 350 person is allowed, not to mention be a good player is just rediculous.

you are an absolute fool. i respect your opinion that its boring, but your ridicule of it being a sport is the most ignorant thing ever. have you ever watched a football game? have you seen the amount of athletic ability that goes into football? clearly not. these 350 lb people that you say arent athletes, or at least implying it, would burn you in a 40 yd dash, not to mention a fight. if you can even budge one of those men id give you $500. theyre the strongest athletes there are and still run a 40 yd dash in under 5.5 seconds. thats pretty damn impressive

and by the way, if a guy like adrian peterson or TO decided to start freeskiing, theyd be the best in the world in 30 minutes. but foreal if one of them decided to ski as a kid, theyd be the best by a MILE, no, 500000 MILES. skiing is a joke of a sport compared to football

ill respectfully disagree.. i see what youre saying but skiing/snowboarding/any "extreme sport" has a mental aspect that doesnt necessarily correspond directly with athletic ability. shaun white actually is missing part of the front of his brain which is the part that is responsible for accounting for risk and reward. saw it on 60 minutes a couple years ago.

that said, the argument should be made for any other skill sport. especially one like soccer. American soccer is waiting for a kid like dwayne wade or adrian peterson to pick up a soccer ball rather than a basketball or football. when that happens is when soccer will boom in america because we'll then have the best player in the world. American undoubtedly produces the best athletes, and its not even a comparison. (dont make usain bolt a case or else ill become very upset)

exactly. football players are awesome athletes, but i dont think they could hold their own in action sports. for one being close to 7 feet tall would make balance significantly harder.

im not quite sure what youre saying... but lemme say this. what i know for sure is that nfl players are the best group of athletes on the planet. they would fair better at soccer than nba players. they would fair better at basketball better than soccer players. i know they couldve picked up a soccer ball as a kid, but the fact is, is that they didnt. they chose football, and now the nfl stands above the rest

and Ben, most cornerbacks in the nfl are under 6 feet tall, and extraordinarily agile. they would, with no doubt in my mind, be the best skiers if they skied as a child

i love action sports as much as the next guy...but the NFL is way more entertaining to watch for me. Especially being from Minnesota I get to watch AP its amazing and the glory days with randy moss was amazing to. should have won the superbowl in 98...damn falcons.

im not a hockey fan at all so i wouldnt know haha. would you rather watch the superbowl with say, the steelers down by 3 and 1:30 left to play, (tear), or would you rather watch game 7 of the stanley cup with the pens down by 1 and 1:30 left to go?

(i know i can be a dick, but im not trying to say football is better right here. im just asking what you would rather watch)

probably hockey. the teams have to work so hard to win. last year the steelers played 3 games to win the super bowl. the peguins had to win 16. its just way more difficult which makes it more fun to watch. and not to mention there are more games.
