pats set numerous offensive records. our defense was also up there. please tell me in what ways the giants were a better overall football team. cause ill tell you how the pats were better overall. 18-0 up to that point in a tougher conference. offensive points record. passing tds record. receiving tds record. 117 qb rating from tom brady. 300.4 yds per game from tom brady

uuuummmmm, outside of the record and the shit ton of super bowls for Brady...  Farve did a lot of that with the Packers in the early and mid 90s.....

but still, our team has only gotten better since 07 (maybe no the D). but with new additions like joey galloway, who can be as old as he wants and still burn CBs like nobody's business, and fred taylor, a star RB, it wont be surprising if the pats smash even more records. our schedule is also pretty easy this year, since we finished 2nd in the division last year, so we play all the second place teams in the afc from last year. this means we play the broncos (lol), and the ravens, who are tougher, but at least they arent the steelers. we also play the colts, but whatever, we have to play the entire afc south anyway. we play the nfc south also this year, who with the exception of the falcons, i do not see being anything special this year. i think carolina is overrated, and the saints, even with brees, has no D. and the bucs suck

only accumulative records, such as tds, games, INTERCEPTIONS. tom brady has much better per game numbers, such as qb rating, yds per pass attempt, tds per game, plus brady has single season records, and he has 3 times as many superbowls

patriots fans are so dumb, fred taylor is old same with galloway. in a way the patriots are becoming the yankees of football. they buy big name players. the steelers get every player from the draft and are still a better team. and your division is easy as shit.

Your right, Fred Taylor is old, and same with Galloway, but they can still play.  We don't need Galloway to be a number one reciever anyways, so he just deapens our recieving core.  Fred Taylor will add to our list of mediocre-great running backs(Maroney, Taylor, Morris, Green-Ellis.)  With that recieving core, Tom Brady, our deapth at running back, our deapth at cornerback, and our famous Patriots D, were most likely gonna be the team to beat.  That's all i'm sayin, can you please show me a team with a better roster right now?

Watch out for the Cowboys.  Now that they got rid of T.O. and Jessica Simpson things are looking up. If Felix Jones stays healthy and Roy Williams can catch some balls the Boys will get 11 wins and finally win a playoff game or two. Although that said the NFC east is a brutal division, but we get to play the lowly AFC west to pad the stat sheet.

Besides their one, maybe two big names; they dont really have much deapth.  It all comes back to deapth really.  We drafted what, 3 cornerbacks, got shaun springs, leigh bodden, brandom merriweather, johnathan wilhite.  But your right, steelers do have a pretty legit D.  Pats are still quite a bit better overall though.

your an idiot. the steelers d is much better. we have more than a few star names. polamalu, farrior, harrison( defensive mvp last season), woodly, timmons, taylor, townsend, hampton, arron smith, and with the addition of ziggy hood we have only gotten better.  and yes you guys may have drafted a lot of defensive players but how many of them will make an impact.

there deffinatly going to the superbowl, by far best team in nfc. with jackson, basket, and newly added maclin at reciver their set. along with mccoy and westbrook and vick there offense is going to destroy.

hopefully someone will step up on d and provide the leadership dawkins did, and their new coordinator will do a decent job. their d was one of the best in the NFC last year, if they keep 3/4 of that up this year combined with their new additions on O they will be unstoppable

steelers D is the best in the nfl. theres a couple people who need to get a clue in this thread

pats will prob be in top 10, MAYBE and thats a huge one top 5. The d line is very good, our linebackers are much improved over the past with mayo and thomas, and we have a lot of young guys in the secondary. A lot of young players with a lot of potential. Not sure if it will all pan out but the future of the defense looks really good. Luckily the offense will more than make up for an average defensive performance so as long as the pats D is top 10 they should be fine.

Eagles look really good too, I would love to see an eagles pats superbowl rematch

Worse case scenario Patriots go 18-1 only this time they loose one regular season game and win the super bowl. The defense is stronger than its been in a while and they have a better offense than they had in 2007. Watch Brady and Moss break all of their records from 07. to the rest of the league, theres always next year.

with the addition of fred taylor, and still keeping a ton of mediocre versatile backs like sammy morris, laurence maroney, benjarvis green-ellis (which sounds like a fucking lawfirm), and kevin faulk, our backfield should be solid enough to fool defenses with play action

i honestly cant see any offense being even close to the pats. the cards play in a weak division, in a weak conference, playing weaker defenses. their run game isnt really up to snuff, maybe beanie wells would be a big hit

other than the cards i dont really know whose offense could even come close to the pats. maybe the colts, but they lost not only tony dungy their head coach, but also tom moore the offensive coordinator, and marvin harrison, who is old, but still could be an okay receiver

and i know at least one of you dimwitted vikings fans will say that with brett favre added to AP that the vikings will be a great offense.... no.... just no. brett favre really wont help em that much. last year he threw as many ints as tds

cardinals have better receivers and backs, brady over warner obviously. pats have better line.  but your a pats fan so you fail to realize that the pats arent as dominant as you think.

there is no way in hell cardinals have better backs or receivers. you fail to recognize how good fred taylor and joey galloway are for the pats offense. in 07 donte stallworth was pretty much obsolete. joey galloway adds another deep threat, added onto already the best deep threat in the nfl, randy moss, and arguably the best slot wr in wes welker. Randy moss > larry fitz, boldin >>> joe galloway, but welker >>>>>>>>>> breaston


as for backs, tim hightower and beanie wells are utter garbage for a backfield. id take fred taylor over both of them combined, not to mention laurence maroney, sammy morris (who avged 4.6 yards per carry last season) and kevin faulk. dont kid yourself with the backs. at least the receiver argument is a valid argument

i say moss > fitz because moss last year had 1008 yds with 11td, and that was from matt cassel.... larry only put up 12 td with his 1431 yds but he had warner. remember moss' 07 stats? 23td with 1493 yds?

and not to mention the cards play in the NFC. the nfc is a wayyyy weaker division than the afc. weaker defenses make it easier for larry and the cards. FUUURRRTHermore, the pats always have to play the toughest teams in the afc, because were always at the top of the division, except last year (if you finish 1st in the division, you play the other first place teams the next year) so the cards get to play easy opponents

oh, and the cards dont have a tight end. like at all

Aw thanks, I really was trying to be realistic and fair there, our offense is better than the Cardinals, and the Steelers D is better than ours.  Well, maybe the QB thing was a bit "arrogant,"  but im just being honest, sorry you feel that way?
