Claim alert ! ! ! -- years ago when Surface was in their first production year I saught them out to handle them with my own hands and I happen to run into the founder of the company. We chatted for a while and he extended my the offer of being able to demo any of their skis whenever I wanted, I just had to give him a head's up. I took him up on the offer and loved the 184 Cushions. Since then he has gone out of his way to stay in touch and send me updates. The skis have evolved and the product line has expanded, but the independent feel of the original company still remains. Plus, right now I can't think of any better deals then the ones that are being found right now on some of the Surface demos and skis in the plastic. Just the other day there was someone on TGR that said Causwell is selling a pair of the Live Lifes 179 in the plastic for $200.

I hear the customer service is good but I ride with a friend and he likes them but broke 2 pair in one season. They gave him a new pair each time but he would have to wait weeks to get his new pair. So even tho they might be fun i guess I would just rather have something more durable
