Program to cut up songs for use as ringtones...

does anyone know of a legit program that does this?

I want something light, that isn't loaded with spyware... so a google search will not yield the results i desire.

kepler suggested Audacity to me, it works pretty well.

I will try wavepad next.

i have audacity too, I use it for mixing songs together more than I use it for ringtones, wavepad is pretty much perfect for what your looking for
