How long are the 169 hellbents?

I am shopping for a new pair of stix, and have found a few deals on 169 hellbents. I have read that the 179 runs upwards to 187 cm....any ideas on the 169? thanks.

I'm pretty sure that the 169 actually measures to 175. Can't say for sure though.

about 174, but they ski like 155s

I don't know exactly if it is longer or not. But what I do know is go with one size longer than you would normally get because the tip and tail are obviously rockered making the skis feel shorter.

They measure out to 174.

hellbents are measured in accordance to how long they ski. if you normally ski a 169, get the 169's. this goes the same for 179 and 189.

because they are rockered, i would think less ski would be touching the snow, so they will feel shorter

which is why they are marketed shorter. the 169s will measure to like a 174, but they ski like 169s because of the rocker.

SUPER WRONG

they are "marketed shorter" because K2 measure the way every brand should(that is tip to tail no slack after being pressed).  They measure all their skis like this.  Armada measure their Park skis(ar6/thall/PC/arv/etc., I think anything but ARGs which are 185 along base and JJs which are 183) like this too.  I think all ON3Ps are measure like this.  My Coombas(188) are 188 from tip to tail, and ~193-194 along the base.  169 hellbents will ski much much much much much shorter than even a normal 169.  silly.

On3p measurements are pretty much dead on tip to tail after press. Before press (flat) they measure a few cms longer. K2 meanwhile has stated measurements that often bear no resemblance to reality. Ie the 189 Hellbent measures something like 195 tip to tip after press. Hellbents do ski a bit shorter than their measurements but not all rockered skis are the same way, as the Caylors have taught me.

yeah that was along the lines of my point.  189 Bents aren't 195 tip to tip though..K2 is off even though they try to measure the way all brand should(tip to tip after press) but not that far off.  And out of curiousity, Caylors in a 191 ski a little bit longer than Bents in a "189" right?  Just thinking that because they are stiffer than bents and have a bit less rocker.  I want to try a pair next year, I heard talk about demoes in PNW(SP) the second half of this season?  I have LL2s as my pow jib ski though.
