Park situation in france, switzerland, austria?

hey guys (especially locals),

2 friends and i wanna go skiing, saturday the 22nd and sunday, the 23rd and we don't really know where to go. we come from the south of germany, so it doesn't really matter to us in which of these countries we're going to.

so, my questions are
1) how is the snow right now in the Alps, on the glaciers?
     - who has been up lately?
     - who has some experiences?
2) park situation
    - we're all still beginners (3s, boxes, some rails) and wanna practice some different boxes and "easy" rails mainly
    - any park setups right now that are recommendable?

we've been thinking about either Dachstein or Saas Fee...
^any recommendations or experiences there?

if you go to france , it' s pretty fucked here ,

the parks here in austria are all closed..  Hintertux is gonna open in mid september,  kaunertal and dachstein in oktober..

i was in tux 3 weeks ago but it wasnt really cool anymore.. only 2 kickers and i think they´re also closed now.

i dont know much about the glaciers in france and switzerland but i think saas fee, or L2A are the best for you guys!

yeah we were thinking about Saas Fee, too, so im just gonna check out their website and maybe call and ask about the snow situation but i guess we're already kinda late....

I was in Saas Fee until late July and there was a lot of snow. The park wasn't that big, but well build and shaped. I think its still open due the the massive base of snow on the glacier.

It says that the park is open so everything should be allright. But also, the base on the glacier is only 1,5 meters now. It was 3 meters during mid july...

Definitely Les 2 Alpes.
Dude i been for a week around 3 weeks ago.
The park is fairly big and real sick. Actually its one of the best ones in Europe.
Its open from 8 to like 1.30pm but you can hike some boxes till 2.
At first from 8 to 9 the snow is pretty damn hard so I wouldnt recommend hitting jumps then.
But from 9 the snow melts a little and the conditions get sickk.
Near the gondona station there a little ice pond so you can hit it too.

Oh well there a bag jump too. I didint get to ride it tho, cause I torn my acl on the trird day.

i personally would like to hit up les2alpes (after checking out both websites) and the video, so i'm just gonna talk to my friends and see what they wanna do.

i was in Zermatt about a month ago. recommended - a good park. not extensive, but solid and snow was good early and mid morning. sweet pipe as well!

first, thx for posting.
and i just checked out Zermatt online but their web page isnt really that informative and Zermatt is big so if u could tell me exactly what resort u're referring to, it would be a great help.
6/10 now, the rest when u (hopefully) post in here again.

Go to Saas Fee, It's near Zermatt...

If you want to see the park check the edit below, it was shot the last week of july this year... the park is still great i think...

i liked ur video, too. afterbanging hard.

and unfortunately it turns out that we can't go anymore since we had some freak accidents in my family happening ( both grandmas are in the hospital with broken bones) and my mom got a NASTY bug bite and got a really bad infection and has to take peniciliin so i can't go and my friends don't wanna go on their own....

well, thanks for all the help!

Hintertoux, I think that's how you spell it, its in Austria.  I skied there last year in the middle of September, they generally have the first park open.  There is an indoor ski hall up by Dresden, Germany that does a freeride camp/comp twice a year(early and late season).  Kaunertal is pretty sick too, a bit harder to get to though and I don't think they will be open until the first or second week of October.  Ask COR.E and Szczepan.Karpiel where to go.  Cory is from Germany and Szczepan is from Poland buy goes to college over in Innsbruck.  They know what's up.
