Fractured ribs

Hi,  is there some one who fractured their ribs? if it is pleas tell me how much is the recovery time to go and jump again. I treid to comeback 2 weeks later but the pain was big at the end of the day.

u need rest brah thats the biggest thing.

id give it a month before you put hardcore stress on it.

depends, where they broke, how bad the broke. Usually I'm good after 2 weeks sometimes it takes 6 wrapem tight and chew down those vicodin

they are the 9th and 8th ribs. In front like near stomach. This monday is going to be a month since they broke so I hop to come back strong. How do you recomend me to bend them in case of.. ?

I think it the worst up front, I always just use "arnica gel" shit is awesome, rub that on there and grit the ol teeth

  but I dont understand what is to grit ol teeth or sthing like that... hhaha my english isnt that good sry..  I wrap them all arrond my body or just over my ribs dont know

hah Im saying its going to hurt no matter what, and when they are broken up front they hurt more, wrap em up with an ace bandage or something and tough it out, shit hurts no matter what but you should be able to ski in pain after a month. haha if that makes sense

It is probably a good idea to listen to your body - You should be able to tell when you are ready to jump again.

just be happy you didnt seperate em.. thats the worst thing ever.. i have to get my ribs popped back into my sternum like once a week at least and they hurt nonstop with any sports, skiing, football, or track.. but with the fractures the longer you can give it the better itll hold up.. if you push it you can cause more bruising which will make it hurt even worse and longer, i gave mine about a month before workin em and the fracture pain went away pretty well.. but i found that the bandages etc really didnt work that well for me, and i never used em after about the first week

Yeah the separation BLOWS, when those pop off your sternum it the worst of the worst

I broke two of mine this january and it wasn't fun. You wont fully recover for months, i would roll over and night and wake up from the pain for about two months, but as for being active and skiing you should be able to fairly soon. It took about two weeks and i could run and ski again, however i could do any weight lifting for another few weeks. It really comes down to pain tolerence, but i would rest as long as possible. If you dont give them the rest they need they may never fully heal.
