While we're on the subject, I'd like to point out that while scammers obviously detract from the community vibe of NS, so do these callout threads. While it's fine to be wary, you don't have to smear a member's name in the dirt when the situation isn't even out of control yet. This distrust in other members, while a product of the scamming, is also taking away from our community.
No offense, but this thread wasn't needed. The point of a callout is to alert members to a bad seller, not to try and find out stuff about them. You could've used paypal to resolve it, or asked a mod to check their IP address and login history, because sometimes it doesn't update correctly...even giving him a little more time - remember, here on NS, we're more than strangers - we're skiers. Despite the bad sellers that should count for something, and having just a little faith in a fellow NSer to pull through could be all it takes.
