Hopefully this doesnt sound like too much of a noob question, BUT i need a small bit of wisdom.
So i bought a fresh pair of 08-09 Invaders in June, and they've been sitting against the wall in my room since then, but i noticed that when i got them that the bases were sticky-ish feeling, as opposed to every other new pair of skis that i've bought that felt smooth, including a different pair of Invaders, soo..
This leads me to wonder whether the skis need to be waxed, or if this means they already have been waxed in some way or something. Also i'm just wondering if anyone else has had this in a new pair of Invaders, and if its OK to ride them the way they are or if i need to doctor them up before they hit the snow this winter.
