as long as the ybuy the skis, then companies have more money and support to make even sicker skis for you. I figure who the hell cares about posers, they bring a ton of money into the sport and money benefits the non-posers the most sicne it is getting things for us cheaper and at better quality.

This is a stupid thread. Who cares what skis they have. Maybe they bought dope shit and are trying to get good. Whats the point in buying non-twins and only getting twins once you're good? Twins help you get good cause tehy are easier to spin on and land switch. The more twin tips sold the better.

WTF? I've been skiing for 11 years now but it's my second year on twin tips and I ride Scratch BC. I'm not that good and I ride good skis, does that make me a poser? I spend most of my time in the park and I'm now learning 180s and 360s over small jumps and I can hit almost any size of jump straight..
Anyway, I don't see any poser at my hill. Kids hanging in park with twins are there to have fun, no matter if they rip or suck.

If someone worked hard enough to buy nice skis, then they DO deserve, even if it is their dad or mom who bought it for them. you are the one who doesn't deserve to be on the mountain with them because you are a dick to them rather than saying 'hey I noticed you falling on those 360s, if you pop off the lip more you could stick it' I can only ride switch on easy to easy-intermediate slopes, does that mean I should never ride switch? open your mind and worry about yourself?

I guess that those 'posers' forgot to check with you prior to their ski purchase.
Damn, they must have been illiterate and unable to read the disclaimer printed on the ski wrapper indicating that they had to undergo a comprehensive evaluation of their ability to perform tricks at an acceptable level.
I suggest to avoid this unacceptable occurance of undeserving persons skiing on twin tip skis, you contact the manufacturers and have them add your phone number and email address along with a warning that unsanctioned use of said product could result in severe injury or death by SkiMT.
Maybe that will help.

but as to the subject of the post... who cares? if someone is enjoying themselves and having fun with friends and whatnot, who cares what kind of skis they have? and as someone above stated, why should it concern you? serious, if you let these kinds of things get you down (or piss you off), then you're end up as one of those old men that's always grumbling at everything.

I can't ride switch extremely well. I've had my twis on the hill for 1 day. You calling me a gaper? Grow up. If you want good skis, go out and get a good job and work for them. What do you think I'm going to be doing this summer? I get paid $100 a day or $10 an hour, whichever is more. + bonuses. I have TMs, and they're mine mine mine, earned by the sweat of my brow.

Man, a lot of kids that get expensive twins got them they went into a ski shop and said, 'I'm not sure what I want, why don't you show me a good pair of skis.' Naturally, the sales dude is going to try to sell the kid something of good quality that costs a shit load so he can make his commission and the kid will be happy with it. Twins are some of the most versatile and expensive skis out there right now so its not surprising that ski shops stick people with them if they don't know what they want. Also, don't rag on a kid just cause he isn't throwing bio 7's on his brand new Armadas. Even though that kid may be having trouble with hitting a jump and nailing the 180 he's been trying, at least he's trying to progress. we were all new to this at one time. My first set of skis was a pair of 1080's and I couldn't do jack shit on them at first, but I worked on my tricks and now I'm at least respectable for a central PA skiier. You gotta start somewhere and you need the right equipment to learn the right way.
