Is this killing my skis?

So i figured out how to do the thing boyd and a bunch of other peole ive seen do where you stand on your tips. has anyone ever had something bad happen to their skis from doing somehting stupid like that?

depends what you way, as long as you arent bending the tips to tail/ breaking the core up(characterized by a faint crackling) youre probably alright-

yeah i do tip stands all the time only think it kills are the legs, at first but if they break send in for warenttee, my friend had scratch fs and the ski got bent and he got new ones

how do you manual like boyd does in session 1242, he bends his skis so damn much, whenever i try to it either kills my shins or my heels. fuck you boyd ur so fuckin kewl

^soft ass skis and really tight boots.....when i try my heels usually just come off the bottom, but my skis are pretty stiff too

also if u try them make sure ur bindings are tight in the back, cause ive landed on my face hard and learned that the hard way

just lean forward hard and pull ur ankles forward so u get on tips then slide it around

I can ride on my tails pretty good, its alot of fun just lean back as far as you can, your shins get use to it after awhile.

i just get up one foot at a time. i should actually worry more about bending my poles cause i gotta put all my weight over them gettting the second ski up but who the fuck cares about poles anyway? Ive seen people lean forward really hard and flip their skis back behind them and balance themselves on their poles

its accually really easy to do. i do that on my skis all the time. i could sit up there like that all day long. the trick is balance. just lean forward and you will start to bend your skis and just ride them up and balance on the tips. o yeah and dont do them with skis that have tips because i would do them on my race skis and i broke the tip off

i can do them on head race skis but not mad trix, but the thing to remember is once your legs are behind you, to bend your knees so that it feels like your feet are folding behind you, also, but a lot of weight on your poles the whole time
