First off, awesome job all around last week. I’m loving the amount of participation & talent that’s been going on. I also want to say congrats to the top five of last week, and give some props.

"TOPIC: Music

Having just shot the Warped Tour yesterday (and being pretty disappointed in the lineup and lack of musical diversity like back in the day), let's make this next week's contest focused on music.

It can literally be anything pertaining to music at all, and if you feel the need to explain why you chose to shoot a particular subject or object then go ahead. Don't limit yourself to shooting someone strumming a guitar or a picture of piano. Let's get creative. For example, remote flash on your recorder you've had under your bed since 5th grade, or a photo of your iPod shot in a unique way, or maybe a macro shot of someone's finger resting on a piano key, etc. You get the point.

Music is such a crucial part of my everyday life and definitely influences how I ski and shoot certain things as I'm sure it influences many of you the same way, so let's see what everyone's got and most importantly have fun with it and try to push yourself to try something new or different."

-you may post 1 PHOTO ONLY
-if your photo strays from the topic, explain why
-no hating other people's photos, constructive criticism only
-no voting for your own photo
-we will have a voting thread to determine top 5, then we will vote again to find the winner
-post your own photos
-click on embedded photos before judging, NS drains the color from them
-winner chooses the next topic
-you cannot win 2 times in a row, you can win twice, just not in a row
