Howdy folks


The winter games kicks off in just over a week, the event will be sick!
Use this thread for any pre event hype, predictions, theories or whatever and then the rest!

Event kicks off with the slopestyle event at The Remarkables next Saturday 22nd

Halfpipe 28th-29th at Cardrona

Big Air on the 30th at Coronet Peak

The Athlete line up is so sick! so much is going to go down as this is part of the AFP world tour!

It's a pretty sick line up for NZ, I'm stoked! I'll be at remarks on the 22nd, and probably the big air. really wanna make the pipe, is it possible to hike to the pipe from the base buildings? I don't wanna pay for a pass when I'm gonna be standing around for most of it. It'll be interesting to see how decent coronet can make their big air. their current 'park' is so shitty haha. hopefully they get someone who actually knows what they're doing to build it!

and yeah the big air jump will be legit azz... its jons special event hes been invited to, so if he has anything to do with it, it will be a typical jon olsson big air jump im guessing!

yeah thats definatly hikable...the pipes right next to their big air jump which hosted the cardy games at last year, and all spectators had to walk to it.... piece of piss...

Ya I was talkin to one of the park crew organizers the other day and sounds like they're making some changes to both side of the big park.  Pretty small slopestyle course though if it stays like they had it for the comp a couple weeks ago.  Just two big jumps and one rail at the bottom.  They had a cannon box set up but then they ripped it down before the start.

Saw the start of the rebuild at Remarks, starting to look pretty good for the slopestyle, course is def bigger than it's been all year shit is gonna be goin off saturday can't wait to watch that shit

Anybody watch Slope final of NZ Freeski Open today. Everybody was throwing down. Such a good day. Just to bad the corse was kinda short and the first 2 jumps so small. They put so much more effort into the Burton Open.
