HELP! Wood Core...

I have a pair of new Line Skogens(just bought em 3 months ago) I booted out on a 540, and a boarder hit my ski and left a gouge near the logo exposing the edges, and wood core, (and all the other stuff inside i don't know about haha). Will the ski be affected if the core gets water logged or soaked? What can Line do? Thanks

almost the same thing happened to me, it is bad if it gets wet so you should fix it soon. what i did is just went to the hardware store and bought some 2-ton epoxt and mixed it up and filled the gouge. i used a tooth pick to put it on and smooth it out and stuff.

thanks for the tip, but will line warrenty something like this? I've never had a problem with any of their other skis Ive had.

^ I highly doubt theyd warranty something like this. Thats like trying to warranty them if a car runs over it and it breaks. Fill it with epoxy, itll be fine.

no they will not, why you ask, because its not a manufacturing defect, its your own stinking fault, i know its not fair but warrenteeing skis that are fucked due to it being your fault is not good business, theyd have to warrantee everything duh!!!!!!!!

they wont ride any differnt unless the edge got messed up (you said something about the edge) just epoxy it and if anyone asks make up some awsome story, like you were atempting your first 900 and your skis crossed while landing or someting like that.

Fill it as soon as possible if water gets into a ski it's fucked. It will get rust in the core which isn't good at all. Also watch the edge where you did it. The ski may start to delaminate if it does that take it into a good ski shop and have them fix it up. And don't complain about the cost because it's going to be expensive.

This year I hope to see more kids incorporating newschool with big mountain riding and getting out of the park.-Matt Levintal
