DENVER-AUGUST, 2009. This month, the Icelantic Gallery will be home
to the latest creations from Peter Grillo and Margareit Zwart. The Icelantic
Gallery is committed to supporting local and action sports industry artists.
The many artistic mediums offer urban influences and the simplicities of
everyday life in conjunction with the flavor of extreme sports.
The Icelantic Gallery is a member of The Santa Fe Art District, a thriving historic neighborhood in the heart of Denver. The nationally recognized district boasts over 30 galleries and hosts thousands of visitors during its monthly First Friday Art Walk. “We’re super pumped to get involved with the community, share our art and skis with so many new people and help local artists launch their art journey – we’re going to have some pretty phenomenal work in here that I think will touch a lot of skiers and art lovers alike!” says Icelantic founder Ben Anderson.
Doors will open this Friday, August 8th at 6:00pm. If you are in the neighborhood (between Santa Fe and Kalamath on 8th Ave) in Denver, stop by and see some original work, view some amazing local and industry art, browse our freshest apparel and meet the Icelantic Crew! Also, there will be free beer and live music provided all night!
The gallery provides a space for creative individuals to display work, perform, collaborate and promote the synergy of art and sport. It will feature new exhibits monthly from local artists as well as original art by Icelantic’s Head Artist Travis Parr, who has exhibited in Space Gallery, Denver, Space Junk Gallery Grenoble France (www.icelanticboards.com/parr).
Icelantic is owned and operated by five friends who grew up in the Colorado Rockies. The ski designs are totally unique, visually stunning, top-quality and handcrafted right here in Denver, Colorado.
